-IF you buy from presonus, you get a SN straight away yes/no?
-IF you buy from sweetwater, you get a SN sent by the rep. Or is it all retailers? (sweetwater does not have it in stock)

My guess is that if you make it a condition of the sale they'll do that. Sweetwater that is, when they actually have one.-IF you buy from sweetwater, you get a SN sent by the rep. Or is it all retailers? (sweetwater does not have it in stock)
Thanks man!LawrenceF wrote:Confusion is a common state of man...hibidy wrote:I'm actually even more confused now

Not necessarily 1-800-Buy-Gear where the person on the phone in India probably never met the high school kid in the warehouse in Nebraska.
I still buy CD's.Doug B wrote:Why? What are you spending your money on-a 2 cent cardboard box or the value of the software? What is 'real' is using the software.autumndreams wrote: I'm a big fan of boxed products though. Just makes the purchase seem more "real".
If you only want to look at a pretty cardboad box, I have a ton of them in my back garage!

Doug B, did you do the full version yet?
nuff said. and perfect too.LawrenceF wrote:It's simply a better fit for me than other hosts, that's all. Cubase and Reaper are easily currently more powerful in many ways (no daw war comparisons necessary) but I much more enjoy working in, and am more productive in, Studio One.simesf wrote:You list Studio One alongside Reaper and Cubase - 2 packages I use. As such I'd be very very interested in your opinion of Studio One with reference to the 2 others.
The way it works fits me like a glove so some of the other stuff I occasionally miss from Cubase is much less important to me in the bigger picture. Studio One + Kontakt 4 (for me, YMMV, all opinions are valid) is fantastic.
It all comes down to personal comfort for me, not necessarily features.
Since I wrote the original question I got the studio deal, upgraded to pro and now I use it in preference to Cubase/Reaper/Sonar/Reason. Yes; it just flows.brok landers wrote:nuff said. and perfect too.LawrenceF wrote:It's simply a better fit for me than other hosts, that's all.
