Possibly. Could be that many butthurt people emailed iZotope complaining they paid more.jensa wrote:I guess it was a case for iZotope to bash a retailer for price dumping.

what other european retailers were/are selling stutter edit ?
inta-audio were only selling to europeans so it's only european retailers they could have annoyed or butthurt customers who paid $150.

Having a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) is pretty common in the industry. That's why some retailers will have "price too low to show" on an item, only revealing it once it's in your cart. If they didn't have it on the sales page, it wasn't an "advertised price" (companies cannot generally dictate what the actual sales price is, because of antitrust law).
So the offending site may have "advertised" the too-low price, giving Izotope the right to step in and require the change in price.

Melodyne Essential (electronic download) $69
This sells for $99 everywhere else. It took me about 24 hours to receive my key. It can be upgraded to Melodyne Editor for $200 more. Editor normally sells for $299 minimum.

GuitarCenter Opening In Louisville Ky.
I'm posting here because I think I've seen someone other than my self from Lou.KY, and around southern IND. on kvr. And thought they'd like to know!

Gonna try to make this one my self, I bought FLS from the Lexington store about three years ago and the price was good!

For anyone in Vancouver (and other Canadian cities that have a Tom Lee Music), I just picked up a Hagstrom bass for $199 - regular $599. They don't normally carry Hagstrom, but their purchaser got a great deal on some for their Boxing Day sales and now they're just trying to get rid of them. The bass I got is a FXB-210 and I also saw a HB-4 for $299.
Decent basses. Great prices!

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Sonar 8.5, producer, free upgrade to X1 (register before end February), less than £140 delivered? You can get studio for £30 less.
http://www.etcetera.co.uk/cgi/search.pl ... rchtype=or
I'm in!
edit: there is some confusion as to when you need to register by to get the free upgrade and I'd advise you check out the next two posts in this forum so that you're clear about that - if in any doubt, you may want to contact the vendor.
It all went perfectly for me and I'm now a very happy X1 owner!

Where do you see that the free upgrade is available until the end of February? All I can find on the site is where it says the free X1 upgrade is for purchases between Nov 1 and Dec 31, 2010.

hmm, that's what it says on the vendors site at the link I gave - look at the product description.

Also something here:

But, yeah, I see what you see too, confusing!
I've registered mine and gone through the necessary steps (bought yesterday, arrived today), and I've received my free upgrade to X1 serial just this minute, so, all seems very okay!
I'm going to amend my first post and suggest people check out these posts and check with the vendor first if in any doubt, thanks.
