CL metering

HI,

Would it be possible to increase a release time of CL's meters? I guess, they are peak meters and though I understand the need for a fast integration time I think they would only benefit if they have a slower release (they wouldn't look so 'nervous' ).

BTW Have you considered RMS meters for the compressor's Gain Reduction?

yes we could implement slower releases on the meters, but there's actually other users that say that the meters are to slow in release. What i'm trying to say with this is, that the perceivement of the meters seems to be a vvery subjective thing, plus the majority of our users like it the way it is, so we're not going to change the meters. On the RMS metering, we have actually thought about these, but we have chosen to leave them away, as the metering already seems rather confusing to the average user, as well as that there's no space left anyway in the VU section.
Not what you want to hear, i know. Best is, to relay on the metering that is provided and use your ear. The CL Series is a very analog colouring compressor/limiter anyway, so metering is just a helping point, the main critical thing should be your ear in any case.
