Just had a bit of a play with EVE and came up with this tune. It's called City Beat, the lead and chord lines are all EVE.

Reminds me of something...It definitely fits the vintage sounds...like an 80s TV show, game...I can't put my finger on it...but it put me in the 80s...made expect to be able to turn on the TV and see Hulk Hogan vs. the Iron Shiek, Where's the Beef commercials, and Ronny Reagan at his desk next to a big jar of jelly bellies...Made me want to grab the TV guide to see when Max Headroom would be on...
Only one thing is that it sounds either not EQed or just has a bit too much high end...maybe I'm just tired...

the first low lead/bassline that comes in is definitely amgia-esque, as well as the line that comes in at 42 sec. i could see this being in some side-scroller by psygnosis for sure. And like William said, thats a good thing 
Could maybe use some EQ, but I don't think the highs specifically need toning down. More just that there are a few synth overlapping in the same freq range thats causing a bit of muddiness.
