I think he means he uses it as a send and not an insert.hibidy wrote:Hmmmmmm, not sure I follow.

Yep...just seemed the best way to work with it.aircargo wrote:I think he means he uses it as a send and not an insert.hibidy wrote:Hmmmmmm, not sure I follow.
As mentioned by Ned Bouhalassa it requires a little restraint to get the best flavour....'less is more' with Stutter I feel. I don't feel it's a master plugin, more of a groupie and used once in while not for the whole performance ;•)

Amen! I'm try to put together an industrial type track and I love the idea of glitching/stuttering the Hell out of the guitar work.Hmmm Hybrid Metal trance any one?ZenPunkHippy wrote:A nice opportunity to innovate with a new genre: glitch n rollshanecgriffo wrote:for us rock n rollers maybe not so useful

And how does Stutter Edit compare to Effectrix, can stutter edit be used in a track as Effectrix can as in can the midi notes in the piano roll trigger Stutter Edit?

Well, I was finally able to pick this one up at a slight discount.
Now to get to working with it. Wonderful little plugin.

Yeah, this has got to be the first fx plugin that is as much fun to program as a synth. Once you get past the name-giving stutter-type effects, you'll find there are a dozen aces up SE's sleeve.autumndreams wrote:Well, I was finally able to pick this one up at a slight discount.

Bought it - love it.
But I wonder if the plugin has a mix function. I am playing with it, but cannot find any "mix" functionality - say I only want "50%" of it in my mix. Dblue Glitch has it...

Bottom right set of effects, there is a dry mix of the original signal you can change. There is also an effect gain that you can try turning down with a combo of the dry, but I thought there was some special considerations for the gain were in the manualtonehammer wrote:Bought it - love it.

Sorry - I may not have described it accurately. What I need is a global mix button that allows the overall output of ALL the effects in StutterEdit to be affected. The current "effect gain" only works for the individual effect and only a small segment of them are affected.
So essentially an overall mix button that affects the entire output of the plugin, so it doesn't go 100% on everything it affects.
Dblue Glitch has this button, which is why I am asking cause I use it a lot and its easier to control/massage the effects this way.

I loved Roger Linn's Adrenalinn but held off for the same reason - and most Audio Damage plugs have the same issue.
I don't get what's gained by not including a master Mix knob.

For those Reaper folks there's a great solution to that problem just half an inch away, automatable and MIDI-learnable:re_mute wrote:I emailed them asking about this. Not heard yet.

But yeah, it's a shame.

Got Stutter Edit Friday,
Thought I'd share my first tune using it. Not the best production on the song its self but Stutter Edit helps.
