Logic automation problem

I've used Sylenth1 in absolutely all my tracks for a year now.
Just recently I had a track that sounded really strange when I reopened the project.
I checked one of the sylenth1 tracks and it the delay fx was set to 100% wet.
I put it back to 20 % and it sounded fine, then it went up to 100% again.
I checked the automation data for the track and found no automation of delay dry/wet. So I tried automating the parameter to make it stick at 20% wet, but this just made the dry/wet button quickly fluxate between 20 % and 100 %.
I ended up with turning the delay off completely and inserted another delay fx on the track. No problem really. And this was in a huge project with stupid amounts of tracks and very much automation data so when I got the mixdown I needed I didn't think much about it. I just assumed it was some automation on another track that made it go crazy like that.

But now I opened a brand new project with a few synths and it started again. There is some automation on some of the other tracks, and I may not be experienced enough with midi standards to pinpoint what is causing the problem.

So I'm wondering if someone can help me out by telling me how to find the problematic track that is sending out conflicting automation data?

Or maybe this is some other kind of bug? I'm using the latest beta btw.
