Hm, this reverb looks great. Unfortunately my PC is in pieces right now (doing a partial upgrade) and will be at least through the weekend. Still, based on others' reviews, I may have to put this on my short list!

As far as the multi-core usage... Strange that only one user has reported an issue. So is this just with Sonar then?

Finally, I see the intro price ended officially yesterday. It's a shame, as I think - based on the comments here - that word is just getting out about this plug-in. I know I hadn't even hear of EAReverb before a few days ago.

I think extending the intro price another week or two would be beneficial for everyone. (Speaking for myself, I should be getting my tax refund check next week, so keeping the intro price as it is until then would gain you at least one new customer :wink: ).

@flugel45: i feel like i need to clarify: there is no issue with Sonar and EAReverb. They work fine togehter and I loved the first hours with EAReverb. It might be, that on my config it uses a bit more cpu power than supposed to. But i can't check this out until sunday.
Finally!

@flugel45:
You are surely right about the intro price period.
As a thanks to all people that currently shows early interest, it would be fair to extend it.
Would March 6th be better than yesterday ? ;-)

To be honest, Sonar is surely not responsible for EAReverb not using all cores equally.
A lot of things (almost everything) are interdependent in this reverb. Most calculations depend on what happened some samples ago at various stages. That's why it's not easy to process "blocks" in parallel ...and also why EAReverb has been a nightmare to optimize because the first alpha prototype was a CPU killer, actually :oops:
CPU loading has been reduced from almost 35% to 3% on my i5.
I hope to work on some extra optimization for the Mac version (which is a bit more CPU intensive) but I'm not sure there is something more to do on the Windows version.

But due to the way EAReverb does its job, it's not really possible to do a lot of parallel processing. It could be coded differently but would not be as smooth as it is right now ;-)

On the other hand, if your software host is "multicore aware", it should be able to process multiple plugins in parallel. EAReverb has been tested in BloXpander this way (so multiple instances can work in parallel on different cores).

@ttoz: You're welcome. Have fun with the reverb!

Philippe, I suggest also to start a new topic in KvR's Market Place Forum, (f.i.: "EAReverb intro offer extended to..."), because it seems that not many people on KvR know this gem (still not the usual hype about it here, I wonder).
