Triggering LFO in Zebrify by host start signal

Hi. I'm thinking about using Zebrify as cool rythmic FX with some trance gate elements. But there's a problem. Only way how I can control start of LFO's is by sending midi note in, which requires some external routing.

Just wondering, isn't there any way how to force Zebrify's LFO to behave like for example Sotrmgate o Sequent? (= When they recieve start signal from host, they reset, so they're synchronised.)

It's not a big deal, it just would be a bit inconvinient to do all that midi hooking if there was a button for it already. :-)

Hi FarleyCZ,

Synching Zebrify to the host would be my #1 request.

I brought it up in this thread:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... c&start=15

The only way I've found to do it is to route midi notes to Zebrify.

Urs mentioned that you can send clicks to Zebrify instead of notes, and that sounds promising... well if I could figure out how to do it...

Best regards,

Gino

Well, all components in Zebrify are developed with a synthesizer in mind, not an effect. You can control a lot of modulations by sending MIDI Notes to it, e.g. to trigger LFOs or envelopes. If your host does not allow for MIDI sent to effects, you can automate clicks into the keyboard control in the bottom panel of Zebrify.

Nono, it's just my lazyness. But on the other side, synthetiser could benefit from this feature too. :-) I can imagine some issues like if you need to play notes out of rythm while LFOs synced.

Added to the manual - thanks.
