A new GUI isn't quite "in the works" (as far as I can tell - Urs is still on holiday and mostly unavailable). One thing is sure: there are much more important things to do first. BTW updating the manual to a new GUI would be no problem at all.
Thoughts about Zebra2 GUI...

Thanks for everybody's input!
The overall concensus (so far) seems to be that it looks drab, it needs a bit more contrast/colour.

Well, I like it as it is. Too much colour looks like a children's birthday party.Howard wrote:Thanks for everybody's input! The overall concensus (so far) seems to be that it looks drab, it needs a bit more contrast/colour.

I like that the modules fit the entire lane space in your mockup, as opposed to the classic look of having a gap and a dropshadow.
I also prefer the general soft shadow/smoothness of this mockup, but would prefer the sleek silvery scheme with the unempty colored flat knobs (WITH the soft feel as shown in this mockup).

I'm usually a patient person but ... can we please have a link to download your beauty, even if this is not the final version?

actually I too like the birthday one even more, except now the center modules should change into a more interesting colour..
so Howard will you be releasing this even if it isn't the official GUI?

When I look at this I immediately have the trailer music of "The Simpsons" in my head.Howard wrote:Children's Birthday Party version...![]()

These are just sketches made with a simple graphic program, they cannot be "released". OTOH, Urs already mentioned that there will (eventually) be a new GUI for Zebra2, and it might look quite like one of these - we'll seezvenx wrote:...will you be releasing this even if it isn't the official GUI?

I just yesterday purchased Zebra, and I like it in it's current version for the "synthesis" portion.
I saw screenshots of older versions, and didn't like them. The current high contrast default in v2.5 is quite nice.
However, if that screenshot was available as a skin, that would be AWESOME!
