:hihi: Sorry... I could get used to it! The different colors are actually extremely useful, but at the moment, it was hard to separate from my recent trips to the hardware stores, trying out different paint swatches for the home! :help:

I saw screenshots of older versions, and didn't like them. The current high contrast default in v2.5 is quite nice.

However, if that screenshot was available as a skin, that would be AWESOME!
With that... I just want to say... CONGRATULATIONS!

Zebra 2 is still my favorite purchase!

The mock up isn't exactly a party, but I've been to worse parties.

Used discreetly, as it is in the mock up, the color helps. I just hope that those of us who support non-standard gamuts with regard to redness and greeness are considered when and if colorization happens.

I have red/green color-blindness too. I remember one time I purchased a PSP game, I think it was puzzle block game. Around level 5 blocks that should be disappearing weren't. So I paused the game and realized they had these orange block and lime-green block hues that I couldn't tell apart without really staring at the two for several seconds. :( Needless to say that went to Gamestop as a used game shortly thereafter...

I like the look of the current Zebra GUI just fine. The biggest improvement for me would be to make the size of the GUI progressively scalable (like, for example, the current version of Kontakt). On my screens the fixed resolution choices now available in Zebra are either too small (at least my aging eyes prefer bigger) or too big (won't all fit on screen). It would be great to be able to just grab a corner and drag it to the size I want, like Kontakt. Of course, I realize this is probably a much taller order than just changing the skin.

I do like these new mockups, especially the coloured one, if the colours were toned down a bit. But however much I like those sharp ACE knobs, I love Zebra's knobs with their colour changing 'tension' dials. To me they've come to represent Zebra and it would be a shame to lose them.

Other than that, I'm liking the thought of a new and improved GUI.

Howard... Has anyone got around to asking you about the dwarf shortage? :wheee:

I've started to prepare an option to switch between knob flavours as a preference. I can't imagine a gui without those original Zebra/Filterscape knobs either, but I'd love to offer an ACE-like option.

Cheers,

;) Urs

options are always the best choice....:-).. just make it in focus at higher resolutions and I will be very happy.

He desaturated the colours a tiny bit.

Maybe I could get used to it. But it still looks a bit cartoonish.

(My only complaint are the arrows in the woodgrain edges, they're still way to hard to see)

Sexy. I don't know why but colour coded modules speak to the child in me (provided they don't burn out my retina in long sessions, lol).

Also, Urs, awesome! I will definitely be switching between both knob styles frequently to get my money's worth :)
