I'm very keen to get Omnisphere on my Receptor. I notice on Plugorama that there's a prep installer for Omnisphere 1.2, but the current available version is 1.5. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy an older copy of Omnisphere for use on the Receptor? Or does anyone have an inkling when some kind of support for 1.5 will be usable on the Receptor?

Hello Ndurant,

After you login to the update area on Spectrasonics site, there is a link at the bottom of the page for "Legacy Updates". I don't see the exact release (1.0.4) that they describe as being the "receptorized release", however I presume one of the newer windows builds there (eg. 1.3) will work.

Regarding 1.5, I have done some preliminary testing of it on Receptor 2. It still needs to be tweaked by muse/spectrasonics to be installable/usable. The engine and playback does seem to work fine. The GUI has alot of flashing panels. Also, Receptor's plugin scan rejects 1.5. So overall - it is close, but not there yet.

Aha, thank-you Kevin - so it seems I can just buy Omnisphere 1.5, install a legacy version on the Receptor, and later install 1.5 when it's better supported. Excellent!!! Thank-you for the clarification.
