Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:We do need to prioritize in a logical and orderly fashion, which is why you will be seeing AmpliTube x64 followed by T-RackS x64. There is a roadmap we have in place for moving forward methodically, and these updates will be doing more than just adding 64-bit support...
That's why I'm wondering what's up here. Thrilled about AT3 being 64bit. But I'm using AT 3.02, Peter said "major update" and "several weeks" so you'd think there would be an announcement about what you guys are intending to do here.

AT3 is really great and still very young, so why aren't you guys releasing any info about the 3.5 release? There could be something in there that might convince some people to hold off buying a "rival" product.

Just sayin'.

Which means give me, an owner, info! :D
Wow, you are out of the loop, aren't you?
We have been talking up AmpliTube 3.5 quite a bit.
I'll tell you a little bit about it now...

We've got a bunch of new strategic partnerships with several top brands in the industry... Orange, Soldano, Jet City Amplification, Seymour Duncan, T-REX... adding to existing partners like Fender, Ampeg, Gallien-Krueger, Groove Tubes, and THD. Several of these brands are going to be involved in the launch of AmpliTube Custom Shop. We're about to revolutionize the way you try and buy gear. Soon you will be able to try and buy AmpliTube models on an à la carte basis. You'll get just the stuff you want, and it's not going to break the bank to add some new gear to your AmpliTube rig.

We've been posting teasers of what's coming here and there. Take a look.

No. We have a separate 10 person development team dedicated to mobile apps.
The pro-audio dev team is still focused on DAW software as ever.
Well, I stand corrected, then.

Hm, a ten person team for just mobile apps? :o

I suggest you "borrow" three of those guys and put them with the other two currently on DAW software. That should speed things up nicely. :P
As I stated, not all of those 10 people are involved in the code development.
There are also product managers, audio engineers, testers, graphic designers and web developers involved in bringing the iOS products to market.

Have you all gotten SampleTank FREE yet?
Even if you have SampleTank already, this will update your SampleTank engine to the latest version 2.5.5.

Some CPU optimization and other small tweaks.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before throughout these 10 pages but,

IKM please fix the bug with Ableton Live, where using TRacks3 and looping the arrangement results in a very big chance of Live crashing. Continuously. (And also corrupting the project).

Yes IKM says the Abes need to do something and yes, the Abes say IKM needs to fix something..

Just try really hard & get it done please guys...

If this is already done or planned then thanks!

We have worked closely with Ableton to address this.
The upcoming update will be fully compatible with Ableton Live.

Is it too much to hope they finally implemented mousewheel support?

Thanks a lot guys!

BTW, wow! 60% off T-Racks 3 singles!
http://audiomidienews.squarespace.com/a ... ngles.html

If one buys all the singles do we get the T-Racks 3 interface aswell? ;)
(granted, it's almost the price of the Deluxe edition anyway :) )

I'm very glad to hear this! Thanks for the info, Brian!

zeep: I've been having exactly the same problem (the arrangement looping crash with IK Multimedia plugins), and I've been discussing it with IKM support for quite some time. Almost lost hope on this already, then Brian alerted the guys to take a closer look at the support case :). IKM plugins are very good, it will be a joy to use them when they are fully compatible.
