this problem has plagued me today
1) the envelops do not seem to behave in zebrify the way they do in zebra here is why i think that:
Firts, my problem is i am trying to have the filter cutoff ramp up using zebrify as in insert fx on an audio part, triggered by a midi track. i have not been able to acheive the results i desire with an envelop so instead i used a triangle wave lfo that is set to gate on keydown. i have my setting to work nicely on the part except when the key is release i get a click.
my solution was to use the mod mixer module ( set to mode fade 1/2 by 3xc) with mod 1 set to empty the lfo as mod2 and envelop as mod3 thinking that the behaviour i would get is on keydown env 1 (fast attack, full sustain, short release) would reach full scale quickly forcing the mod mix to be 100% lfo, then when note off message was received the envelop would ramp from the lfo to nothing as there was no mod 2 source (i also tried placing env 2 in mod2 so it would ramp to itself in the env release phase). needless to say this tactic has failed. i am still getting the clicks and i understand why - because the lfo drops off too, quickly before the release of the envelop has triggerred the mod mixer to fade to it. there is still a gap between the values rather than a smooth transition which slams the filter closed and im still getting a click, lesser click.
so i went back to simplifying and just using an envelop and during my time tweaking i decided to use a mod mapper in map smooth mode and using my envelop as the modulator to visualize what is going on with the control signals - the results were unexpected.. so i put an identical env in zebra set up the same way and they are different ... try for your self. please let me know if im just overtired. im sure it has to do with zebrify being monophonic. or possibly a bug ?
Also if anyone has any tips on helping solve my problem id appreciate that too!!
