Hi
Sequent is really excellent !

I am considering getting it, and was wondering if it was planned to add more kind of effects (in fact, so far, i think i would like to be able to have two kind of flavour for each effect : a dirty wobbly "bucket-brigade/tape" style delay and a clean ping-pong digital delay, a rather clean filter and a more screamy, distorted, self-resonant one, etc) ?
There are already several workarounds (putting some filters after the delay for some signal degradation, or adding some drive with a distortion before the filter), but having it all in a convenient single module makes the workflow faster ;)

We're definitely considering more effect blocks, as well as additional modes within existing effects. However, I can't see us combining two existing effect modules into a single module: it's just not the Sequent way. One thing we are planning though, which may help you in this situation, is the ability to create partial presets for Router configurations. This way, you can build a library of often used effect combinations, be they parallel filters, distortion into delay, etc.

Great.

I was not meaning having two types of delay into a single module (sorry, my english is quite average), but having for instance one "tape delay" module, and one "digital/classic" delay, each being a module.

Yes, this would be amazing indeed.

Sorry, the response about not combining existing modules was actually in reference to:

and certainly not a problem with your English!

We'll look into how much mileage there is in a digital vs tape delay module, but even with the current digital delay you can get some fairly wobbly sounds. See the preset 'Broken TapeRecorder' for a good use of detuned delay, combined with filters and distortion.

Thanks again for the feedback and suggestions.

I'm thinking about purchasing Sequent. But I'm running a 64-bit Linux, any chance Sequent will be available in that format (Linux 64bit) any time soon? Thanks!

Best,

Jeremy

Yes; the next version of Sequent will come with native Linux 64-bit support, both in VST Plug-in and standalone application format. According to our schedule, Sequent 1.2 should be out in April, and at this point in development I can't see any reason why that date should slip.

Hello CPB, thanks for the prompt reply and the good news! I'll keep an eye on the Loomer site then :)
