So, how shall we choose the next synth? I had a thought, that since we vote on the OSC from the 1st to 15th, maybe we could vote on the next synth from the 16th to the 25th. (that would give us a few days to start on the next comp)

That sounds like a good idea

FreeAlpha definitely would be good

Or any one of the Elektrostudio synths (although I think they might be PC only)

Yes, really about time with one of the ElektroStudio synths.

But U-he has just promised to work full speed on Tyrell next week so might be an alternative as it's already solid as it is and sounds pretty good.

So how about a vote for OSC 27 synth with these 5 alternatives:

Sixth Month June (Elektrostudio)

Free Alpha (Linplug)

Tyrell (U-he)

MinimogueVA (Voltkitchen)

Voyager (Arguru)

Yea I used one of Limeflavour's skins for it: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256766 The original is a bit more daunting..

Free Alpha is one of the most under rated freeware ever.
Like being a freeware made by payware maker was a shame

It still sound very impressive, even more than synth1 to my hears.
And the modulation matrix rules.

I recently made some dub step bass wobbles with it : LFO cut off for high freqs and LFO volume for the lowest oscillator...with opposite phase and mod wheel speed

But Tyrell is a very good candidate too.
I find it intuitive, even with the powerful features.

I still think Free Alpha deserve to be chosen, being an under rated freeware since 2002 against the almighty synth1

And even 2000, if we consider GakStoar Alpha

It's good, and the added advantage for the OSC in that it's (as about the only one) cross platform Mac/PC.
