Will Mulab support multiple cores any time soon?
If so any idea when?

That's the plan, yes! But at this point no promises yet because it purely depends on the technical story. Currently focussed on other interesting aspects of M4. The optimization work (minimizing the CPU load + multithreaded audio processing) will be one of the last chapters in the M4 R&D cycle, and hopefully it will be the icing on the M4 cake! M4 is expected to be released in may/june. Test versions will be available earlier.

Not yet planned for M 4.0 because it won't be possible in the available time frame i'm afraid (M4 is planned to be released in may/june), but as soon as possible after M4.

By the way, can you please tell me the practical disadvantages of a 32 bit app. It does run well and it loads plugs well afaik, right? Of course things are moving towards 64 bit, but are there urgent reasons for a M-64?
