This version works and stays visible all the time!
But there are no options at all!

It would be nice to have the plugin this way, but with a retracting option bar.

I can say this rocks my boxers and is mighty great. Improved in every sense!

That doesn't make the plugin worse!

hi max, the "secret version doesn't really work good, indeed. i actually love v1.4 with the seperate window. but could you maybe check my 3 feature requests one page before this? that would be nice.
this still is the best analyzer for me, i would hate to see it dying (i.e. 64bit, etc)...
i'd also love to see a mac version for it (au+vst), so a studio i often work with, could have it too, when i'm working there for them i really miss a good analyser...
i also sent you an email to your adress you had on the webpage - quite a while ago, last year...

please don't let it die, thisone is the best of all of them!
thanks again!

i know it, but it's just not my thing, or better said - the seven phases analyzer is exactly the way i need it, it just needs some enhancements...

Does anyone know how I could contact Max Mikhailov, at an address that's actually in use? Is he even...still alive? (sorry, but the sudden disappearance long ago is worrying)

if you reach him, by all means, let me know how, as i would be verry interrested in the further development of this analyser as well... i tried all contacts i could find, max didn't respond.... i don't have high hopes on it.... a real shame... :(

indeed. suddenly, as soon as i used it, i felt i can finally see what matches my ear, which wasn't the case since i used my pinguin analyser back in the days. and i've tried every metering plugin so far (vst). i so wish for the seven phases analyser not to die, as there's still a lot of room for additions, and as it seems max was the one who has a certain view on the things and how to implement them, which really met mine (and a lot of others, i assume)... it's _very_ fast in response, it has adjustable fall times, which in most analysers sadly adjust the attack response as well (and i hate that), seems to be a limitation of fft based analysers i assume... as the seven phases analyser is based on special bandpasses, the reactiontimes are editable to be really fast without fvcking up your cpu... etc, etc...
i would only wish for it to get 128 bands (1/12 octave), instead of the current 64 bands (1/6 octave), as well as i would wish for future staying alive it would be ported to 64bit... those would be the two main fr's i would have... but sadly max doesn't seem to be availlable in any way...

Yes, I think it's amazing that all the plugin developers except Max don't realize how useless their analyzers are in the context of actual perception of sound, especially in a musical context. They haven't taken important cues from those who did it right many years ago. I don't care what anyone claims about how wonderfully "accurate" their analyzer is, they clearly don't understand frequency analysis that's supposed to be applied in perceptual contexts, and that's too bad.
