A quick test in Logic 8, Mac OS 10.5.8, MB Pro 2x2.3 GHz Core2Duo:
The MDrummer 4 (full but limited version, not the one labelled 'demo') runs fine. Kind of…
But, there seems to be a big problem with the graphics optimisation, because if I switch to a graphically busy tab, such as the Mixer, one of the CPU cores goes from some 20% (while playing with Logic running) into red and Logic terminates playback because of CPU overload. Switching to one of the 'dummy' inactive tabs, CPU drain is back down to about 20%.
Also, in the default setup the MDrummer 4 audio output overloads the Logic mixer channel by +6dB.
It would be interesting to hear from any other Logic users if you've seen anything similar. Currently, because of this CPU spiking, MDrummer 4 is unfortunately unusable for me.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Hehe thanks for the noteSimon Posford wrote: No the DL is not finished but just for to say that in the mdrummer picture of the melda website it's wrote 300 drumsets and in the KVR description about 3000 drumsets but i think when manipulating a lot of zero and one digits coders see bits anywhere

Please try running MDrummerConfig. Also check you are using 32-bit MDrummer in 32-bit hosts and vice versa.pc999 wrote:It seems it is not working in Reaper I get a runtime error when it scans.

Thanks, I'll check it out. These things are always problematic on Macs...Spitfire31 wrote:A quick test in Logic 8, Mac OS 10.5.8, MB Pro 2x2.3 GHz Core2Duo:

Ok, it may be useful to lower the default volume.Spitfire31 wrote: Also, in the default setup the MDrummer 4 audio output overloads the Logic mixer channel by +6dB.
I tried on MacBook core2duo 2GHz and it doesn't seem to be a problem. What latency are you using btw? (I have heard a few users talking about how great it is to use 32 samples for example, which is in my opinion a pure nonsense, and with such a latency I can imagine MDrummer having problems).Spitfire31 wrote: It would be interesting to hear from any other Logic users if you've seen anything similar. Definitely, I'm using 256 samples. I'll check it with it, SR 44100 right? Does it do that only in the mixer / other graphically problematic places?Spitfire31 wrote: No such nonsense here. 256 samples isn't unreasonable, I think?

This looks like you have uninstalled it or moved the data somewhere else. Please search for MDrummerConfig and run it from whereever it is.pc999 wrote:I tried to run the MDrummerConfig it says the shortcut cant be acessed ( I am the administrator).MeldaProduction wrote:Please try running MDrummerConfig. Ok, this is a typical case where MDrummerConfig hasn't been executed, so that MDrummer doesn't know where to find the resources. What OS are you using?pc999 wrote: I tried to reinstal this is what I get in reaper "plug in MDrummer executed a invalid operation during scan", and it still dont allow me to access MDrummerConfig, dont know here it can be, I havent moved it.

W7 64bits.
Just to add that at the end of the install it does open a configuration windows (I think) here you can even test the sound, it actually make sound with both windows and Asio drivers. It just after that that it does not work anymore.

Folks, official release is here
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 99&start=0
The stuff with GUI performance on logic has not been solved yet, I haven't been able to simulate it yet, but will try again.
