I think Rob Lee's Ultimate Dance is probably the overall best.

+1 for Rob Lee's bank. Something like 300+ patches, very affordable.

There are really many many sylenth soundset out there...
From CFA-Sound comes also a new bank, but not only as bank and also not via CFA...
And compared to the 2 CFA Synergy sets, the new one is the best on my 3

+ compared to Rob's soundset, our Music Box soundset is rather new ( two months old) so its unlikely most people can compare it to older stuff.
Rob's soundbank is excellent for punchy/dancy stuff. Our second bank is more for Electronica/Lounge/Downtempo/poprock stuff.
I dont own it but I was impressed by the Adam Van Baker demos too. Seems very cool for dancy stuff.

1 Vengeance Vol 3
all vengeance have nice playable sounds and nice Mod wheel
http://www.vengeance-sound.com/ (stupid website ,tiny windows, no direct link to product)
2 Soundorder
http://www.soundorder.com/ (stupid website, no direct link to product, instant loud music - care if you're at work
)
3 freshly squeezed
http://www.freshlysqueezedsamples.com/v ... ction.html
also :
adam van baker /CFA / Ummet Ozcan /Arksun
are good
--
It's always hard to tell how 'playable' the sounds are by listening to a demo.
most websites have silly players etc. sometimes youtube is better to hear the mp3 demo.
disclaimer ..."what do i know about anything
"

I think it's a hard question to answer on all accounts.
I usually look at 3 options and I live by one off these :
Try all the recommendatinos in this link.
Download as many demos and see which one suits your style, genre and ear.
By as much as you can, cause you can never have too much inspiration....
Tips my inspiration tends to be blind after £20+ a sonud bank (unless there are a mutlitude of banks.
All are very well thought out and programmed.
Rob Lee's Ultimate is a no brainer! Lotuz's music box is very nice and different. Team DNR have several too

Freshly squeezed sounds is one I haven't heard of but pric is well...
Price: £40.00GBP

When you check the number of visits vs the thumbs up (64 votes) you got to wonder. But then I don't sale sound banks and have any idea on website hits to purchases etc.
Thanks KBKB for the links learnt a few to check out
