I am having problems with ACE in FL Studio (both FL Studio 9.1.0 -latest release- and FL Studio 9.9.9 -latest Beta-). :-( This is what happens:

1. I select a preset (or create a sound myself) and enter the notes in the piano roll. Everything right till here. But then...
2. I change to another pattern, set other instruments (kick, hats, ...)
3. I go back to the pattern where I'm using ACE and play it. The sound has nothing to do with the sound I chose before. The sound is always... I don't know, filtered or something like that (without any brilliance, less volume and sometimes it is totally different to the one I chose).

It doesn't matter if I change the quality between "Draft", "Standard", "Good" or "Accurate", it happens again.

And not only when I change from one pattern to another. It's the same thing when I change to the Playlist view, place or change patterns and play the song. I must go back to the pattern where I loaded ACE and click the present again. It sounds properly, but ONLY till I work with another patterns again. :-(

I would be happy if you could help me!
Danke sehr! Thanks! :?

It sounds much a like a MIDI Learn problem. If a MIDI Control Change is assigned to a parameter, it can easily happen that the host changes the setting without much of a notification to the user. Please open the following file in Wordpad and post the content here:

../Vstplugins/ACE.data/Support/com.u-he.ACE.midimap.txt

On the other hand side, if it changes to a completely different sound, maybe you have presets in ../Vstplugins/ACE.data/Presets/ACE/MIDI Programs/ and the host send MIDI Program Changes?

;) Urs

Oh thank you for your quick answer, Urs! :)

Inside ../Vstplugins/ACE.data/Support/com.u-he.ACE.midima p.txt there is:

// Global MidiCC Map
123=VCC:Vc1 //VoiceCircuit:Voice1

And inside ../Vstplugins/ACE.data/Presets/ACE/MIDI Programs/ there is a file named Midi.Bank.Cache.txt Inside this text file there is:

// Cache file that speeds up loading of MIDI Banks
#Banks: up to date
Bank 0: Bank0 (0)

Ah, that's interesting. An "All Notes Off" message will tune your ACE down by 2 octaves :shock:

Just quit Fruity Loops, then delete com.u-he.ACE.midimap.txt, then restart Fruity Loops and you're all set!

Cheers,

;) Urs
