Yesterday I received an email from NI advising that a number of plugins have been updated (Absynth, Guitar Rig 4, Kontakt, to name but a few.)
I managed to get Service Center running on my Receptor 2 and downloaded all the available updates. On completion, I noticed that they had been downloaded to a "Desktop" folder within my Receptor HD - ie the existing plugins haven't actually been updated themselves.
On accessing the folder containing the updates, I have noticed they are all .exe files. Do I need to transfer them to another folder on the hard drive, such as "Drop Installers Here" or do I open them and run them from the folder that they are currently in ?
I am asking this as I don't want to mess up the NI plugins that I already have installed. Can anyone kindly walk me through the correct procedure ?

Hi Peter,
Yes, I would try putting them in the "Drop Installers Here" folder, followed by hitting the "Install Unsupported Plugins" button on the 'Setup' page. Do this one at a time for each installer.
