Hi,
I'm using Reaper as my host. It has this nice feature which allows you to run the application from a USB thumb drive. All of the configuration information and the license key reside on the drive. This allows you to run from pretty much any Windows host OS by just plugging in the drive and mapping it to a specific drive letter.
I'm trying to get all of my vst plugins setup to run from the drive as well (hosted by Reaper). Is this possible with MDrummer? Some areas of concern would be:
1. License key file: can this reside on the drive and how would MDrummer verify the file's location at startup?
2. Configuration settings - are they stored on the drive?
3. Any registry settings (besides the install/uninstall path?).
4. Anything else to consider?
Thanks,
taji.
Run MDrummer from external drive.

I'm afraid not. First the licence is "per-person", so you can use it on all YOUR computers only. The licence is also stored in some standard path, not USB, therefore you'd have to activate it again on all new computers, which is legal only for your computers.
Also the settings and stuff are stored on some standard path, therefore not usable as well. You can survive without these settings though (presets, configs ...), but you have to run MDrummerConfig on each of the new computers to let MDrummer "initialize".
