This is completely hopeless!
There's like 25 or so patches that i have to somehow squeeze into 5 choices. Anyone of them could be in the top 5. I do have my favourite picked so the nr 1 spot is taken but the remaining 4 is a complete struggle. I'll have at it for an hour or two more and i'll give my votes. When was the deadline again exactly ?

Ok here it comes i think:
1. Polygonal. A very simple patch but just so beautiful and useful. The slide on higher velocities is just genious and i'm so jealous i didn't think of it first.
2. Far East field before the storm. This one reminds me of one of my favourite synths of all time,a Reaktor ensemble called weedwacker. Damn i miss that synth.
3. Pad Endless Grid 3. Also reminds me of weedwacker with that beautiful calm pad sound intertwined with dying rusting robots. Also reminds me of early Human League.
4. Gravity. A deceptively simple patch i simply cannot stop playing. Didn't want to vote for it because it's so simple but can't not vote for it. The Heroin patch.
5. Dirt Bass. I use it for everything but a bass but it's a really nice sound.
Also a typical early Human league sound.
Honorable mentions:
Baby Robots try to sing. Can't really see this working in a song but it is so damn creative it must have a vote. This one just got demoted. I was going to vote for it but another patch stole it's place just as was double checking to if i had forgotten anything. Really really close.
Dying alien seashore - This one could just as well been nr 2 but i found it so similar to Far East field i didn't want to vote on yet another such patch. If this wasn't by the same author you had really bad luck,it was really close.
Bazille Patch 1 great for doing Being Boiled covers. Really raunchy patch which i like but maybe a bit to anonymous for a patch contest. It's so easy to just fall for the 1 note song patches while the simpler ones win over time.
After Drop is really cool. Nice touch with the pan effect on release.
Circuit Touch for sheer creativity this is the winner but for me it's too much of a novelty. Great work though i probably never could/would have done a patch like that.
Dark Ages again this reminds of some intermission on an early Human League record.
afterlife pad also has that weedwacker thing going, nice.
Pump it up! I was thinking of doing a similar patch for this contest, luckily for me i didn't because this one is so much better. My patch would have been embarrassed by it. Really nice touch with the bassdrum disappearing on note off while the rest doesn't.
Minor 7th Pad + fake arp this one is really nice but i get an unfinished feel. May need some polish and it could just as well been in the top 5.

Very nice stuff but hard choice for me. In before deadline (I hope):
1. warp sequence legato
2. Polygonal
3. Sympl2WyrBel (so simple!)
4. Circuit Touch (trickery, I can't comprehend it)
5. Bazille on the moon

My vote is:
1. Polygonal
2. Flight Cancelled
3. Dark Ages
BTW, I noticed a few people left their names in the author field of their patches. Gives it away a little bit.

That's strange, the version of Bazille I'm using doesn't display an author field.blurk wrote:I noticed a few people left their names in the author field of their patches. Gives it away a little bit.
