License reading capablities with .dat file and Ableton not recognizing VST......

I just bought Sylenth and cant figure this out....I cant get the license to even be read due to the .dat file. I have downloaded .dat readers but that does not work....and I cant get Ableton to find VST. I have the Sylenth .dll file in my VST folder???? I am doing everything right....Please help Lennar!
