Tracktion and Reason : Rewire problem

Hello

I' m using the demo and it doesn' t work correctly with Propellerheads Reason :

I can't hear the first midi key played by Reason' s sequencer. I think that the too sequencers are not synced, Tracktion' s position is a a little bit ahead from Reasons so if I listen to a loop for instance, when it comes back to the beginnig of this loop I never hear the first midi key...

I cannot work if this doesnt work properly... and I really hope to get Tracktion and make it work with Reason because its handy and well thought.

So whats wrong with it ? Is it my soundcard ? Tracktion ? me ?

I believe thats a general tracktion problem not specific to Reason. When looping, PDC gets sorta messed up and you frequently won't here the first note of the loop unless your synths don't need any PDC.

Anyway I think thats what you are talking about.. but maybe someone else will come along and give you a better answer.

I have no idea why you're getting that issue. I use Reason rewired to Tracktion like 'nobodys buisness' and the only issue I have occasionally would be 'hung notes'.

What ver. of the Demo are you running?

I' m using the latest demo. So if it works for you, that should work for me then

I' ve just tried the "latency compensation" in Reason preferences. I was half sure that would work, but it didn' t... maybe its my soundcard... too bad

I' ve reinstalled everything (soundcard drivers, tracktion demo and reason) and its still not working properly

floyd is probably right. Lost first notes in loopmode happen most typically when the edit has a delay introducing plug somewhere.

Are you using SIR or any limiters or anything that requires PDC in your edit?

well I dont know what SIR or PDC are actually... All I can tell you is that when my tracktion edit is empty (I mean with only one track with one rewire device)I still have this issue. Its in reason that there is something wrong. When the loop mode is on I cant hear the first key played in reason sequencer.

Yeah, i've been having this problem with the demo version rewired with Reason 2.5 as well.
Any ideas yet? Anyone?
