I am needing a control surface for my Muse Receptor rev C, and would like advice. It can have piano key or not, i havent made up my mine yet. I don't use a computer when i play live, so I am wondering what midi control surface will plug in directly and work with the least amount of difficulty. I don't need a lot of head aches trying to assign the vrious muse options to the controller buttons and faders. I simply need to be able to assign faders to receptor channel volumes and be able to change patches and setups, you get the idea.

I use a KORG nano control. It works via USB and is easy to set up with the appropriate CC's for mixer control using their software. It's small and it's $50 bucks!I velcro it to the stand that holds my keyboard.

That sounds interesting. I basically just want to be ble to adjust volumes and mute channels, perhaps control a few things inside of a plug in or two. After looking at the manual it seem like i would have to plug it into my computer to to assign the messages that the receptor would be receiving. Bit of a pain, and presently i am still trying to understand all the different types of midi messages and how to figure out what message is assigned to the various faders and mutes on the receptor mixier page. i need to try and find this out .
