Does anyone know of a good microphone adapter that I can use to plug a mic into an iPad?

doesnt alesis or blue have a dock audio interface for the ipad (tho with the camera kit you can plus any usb class compliant soundcard in)

I would love to get the one frm Blue, but my research on the net tells me that for some reason the USB adapter won't work with it.

I've looked for USB adaptors that peope say do wok with the iPad but haven't seen anything definitive.

thanks a lot, i'm actually at the point of finishing them and looking for some generous soul to lend me their home studio/control room for a day so i can caibrate those sub basses </offtopic>

Our iRig Mic would work best. We also h ave the iRig and some users have reported using it as a 1/4" adapter to use with a real preamp. Then they use a normal mic like a Beta 57 or any condenser. You'll find that the iRig Mic has great quality though.
