Gah! I missed the boat. Not for want of trying.GreyLion wrote:Just an FYI -- and to be honest, to gloat a tiny bit -- I got my order delivered today from Juno for the K7 Elements box. It was indeed the original version with 12 GB of samples, a $60 coupon, extra patches for various instruments, and so on.
Took them about 2 weeks to deliver, price was about $63. They were indeed clearancing the old boxes, but only have the new ones on order now.
This adds Juno to my list of vendors to check out for killer deals in the future.
Happy shopper, here!

From Bargains Thread:

Looks like some good deals, but this isn't one of those things that only works in a Cakewallk host, is it?GreyLion wrote:Well, it looks like Cakewalk is at it again with some interesting new monthly specials:

I'll probably end up getting the Lounge Lizard EP-3 Session. You just can't ever have too many good Rhodes sounds.

Nope! There may be a few on this list like that, but generally, they're just VSTi's.debra1rlo wrote:From Bargains Thread:Looks like some good deals, but this isn't one of those things that only works in a Cakewalk host, is it?GreyLion wrote:Well, it looks like Cakewalk is at it again with some interesting new monthly specials:

Some of the sample sets and such want to be loaded into Dimension, but I've run inside Reaper a lot of the plugs that actually come with Sonar. A few of those have caused problems, but generally not. Some of the older stuff, like Pentagon and Z3ta+, for instance, were created before Rene went to work for Cake.

You're welcome, Debra!
Incidentally, I went ahead and got the LL Session. Quick acknowledgement, got the serial number in my Cakewalk account about a half an hour later, was able to download the installer from AAS.
But then it got a tiny bit strange. I went to load LL in Reaper, and it wanted to do the whole challenge response thing. Wanted my serial number. And that is no longer in my Cakewalk account. Their site is acting slow and a little flaky, and I'm wondering if they're still having issues from the Amazon outage.
I went back to the purchase-confirming email that I got from Cakewalk, and it had a link to my registrations with Cakewalk --(which just going to the Cakewalk site from my account caused a database error).
The link worked and I got my number and have been happily playing LL since.
*******
And, referencing the mic deal I posted earlier in the Bargain Center thread, it looks like there was one bid, which took it for $19.99. Hopefully one of us!
The next one is up already, due in 2 days, and has one bid already. Again, hopefully one of us! If so, no pushing and shoving, kids!

What makes Wave Editor far superior?ttoz wrote:fair enough, but wave editor for $75 is far superior and that's the standard price.blue monk wrote:Mac sample editor DSP Quattro ist currently on special offer for 50% off:
"DSP-Quattro 3 FULL version, new license for 75 euro / 99 US$ ONLY!"
A pretty good deal.

Unless you REALLY need the cd burning then this is a decent deal.
I'm curious since I have both. There are things I can do with DSP-Quattro that I can't do with Wave Editor. I really like both, but would not call Wave Editor far superior. Are there any specific features that make you say that?
It's been on sale for $60 for a while now, just like DSP has also been on sale for months. I actually got DSP-Quattro since they had a very attractive cross-grade deal a few months ago.

Last night I saw Arturia CS80v on a site for $113 but now I can't remember what site I was on.
It usually sells for $199.
If I do find it again, is it worth getting at that price? I have read on here (some people on KVR say) that the Arturia lineup isn't the best at emulation, but they can't be that bad...right?
I am still looking for the site this morning and if I find it today I will post it.
