that's where also I found the great thing last week. now the audio fades in and out and the synth asks for activation/registering. how does one do that?
Ouch... odd... What date is your computer set to?

thanks for the reponse, Urs!

the computer is set to around 10:48 (Finland), April 13th 2011, so the date/time seems to be ok. the plugin just behaves like an expired demo. looking at the vst-foder, I installed tyrell on april 7th (cubase 6, vista business 32bit).

ideas?
Can you send me a screenshot to urs@u-he.com?

problem in Orion with this (dunno if Orion prob or plugin):
each time i click a patch change or tweak param, i can't
trig from querty keyboard (orion thing), and have to click
off to another object such as mixer, then back, to 'refresh'.
this happens with a few plugins, and with synthedit ones, is
usually linked to the 'list' object. vast majority of plugins
do not have this problem. any idea?

Well, Tyrell is a VST2.4. As such it does its own keyboard handling. The only keys that it ever wants atm are the cursor up/down keys if you've clicked into the preset list. All other keys are then left to be processed by the host. Dunno what's holding the host back from handling them...

I can confirm this is the behavior for Tyrell in Orion using a Querty computer keyboard as a MIDI music keyboard

However I can also confirm this same behavior for Native Instruments FM8 and AAS UltraAnalog. As annoying as it may be, I don't think it is a bug in the sense of a defect.. but simply as Urs said is simply handled differently.

Just click on the title bar for Tyrell after you change the patch.. you don't even have to minimize or anything.

That or upgrade to midi keys  They are so much nicer.

Check your pmail. Thanks already, Urs.

Ps. I threw in an ACE ui screenshot for your comments as well

Thanks, Urs. Don't know what exactly was fixed, but the version I have now works fine. Nice customer service for a free/great product I'd say!

i've been too lazy to pull out a 2octave midi k/b, lol.
but have mousekeyboard!!! ok, as long as everything is normal..
it would be nice if it could work with querty, though, just a
thought for the future, as is very nice plugin.

Hi =)
I don't know much about synthesizers, but I just downloaded nexus 6 and now I don't know how to install it. the readme says
> - put TyrellN6.dll (32 bit) or TyrellN6(x64).dll into ..\Vstplugins\ <, but I don't know where to find ..\Vstplugins\ ... could someone help me with that?

Of course to run a VST plug-in you need a suitable host application - do you have e.g. Cubase, Reaper, Logic or similar? If so, the program is likely to have created a directory for you e.g. C:\Program files\VstPlugins. That's where the .dll belongs. If that folder doesn't exist there, search for it.

Yep, or create a "C:\Program files\VstPlugins" (for example) yourself, and then change the path to your vst plugins ("C:\Program files\VstPlugins" in this example) in the options/preferences of your host application (Cubase, Reaper, Live, Sonar, etc.).

Go to your "program files" folder.
Right click on an empty space within.
Select create new folder within the menu list.
Name it "vst plugins".
Put all your plugins in that.
Then from the options menu in your daw.
Choose that folder as your library path.

I've followed the steps in the readme now and I created the vstplugins folder and everything but Reaper and DarkWave Studio don't show me anything new after selecting the vstplugins folder... maybe does someone know another freeware program that may work better with thatP?

Post

1) Click on REAPER in the menu, select "Preferences", a dialog window opens
2) In the list on the left of this dialog, select Plug-ins / VST
3) At the top right you will now see a button "Auto-detect". Click it and wait...

Works now?
