Please let me know if this would be taken as discouragement for potential S-Gear buyers. It's a great product and I wouldn't want to give the wrong impression.

Not quite, mine was a text link, on purpose.Hink wrote:FTR your clip the other day was the same way
When I see a player I expect it to, well, play the file.
Maybe it's just me ...

Btw, is there a free service (without registration) that hosts mp3s in a way that is compatible with that kvr player ?
Along the lines of Imageshack ?

I think this site does (but I could be wrong) http://tindeck.com/ I know of it because of the member 'Agreed' and his reviews of sims and such.susiwong wrote:Not quite, mine was a text link, on purpose.Hink wrote:FTR your clip the other day was the same way

the price is too nice, that's why I haven't tried it yet...it would be too easy but at the same time it would delay my progress towards other purchases I want to make...but then my disposable cash right now is set aside in case they do not believe me when I tell them there is no way that cop could have clocked my car 1,000 feet away on the road they said they did...I've never fought a ticket before but I would buy an sg and a les paul before I would speed...I am indeed the most tailgated man in the country.
Not too mention monday I had to put new sneakers all the way around my car that I should have seen coming but didn't. Either way I might be waiting until June or even July before I make any musical purchases again. Gas prices are not helping matters, first time ever I put 40 dollars worth in any vehicle I ever owned and that's just a hyundai elantra
but congrats

Real easy once you get it setup. Even comes with a desktop app that lets you drop files into a designated folder on your computer and it will auto sync/upload to with the folder structure to their site. Then just goto your account and right click on the file for the options and there is a "copy link to clipboard". Real fast, easy, and FREE with no adverts/spam clicking/waiting/jumping through hoops for you or people downloading the file. The mp3s I have uploaded seem to play fine with the new KVR play buttons. Direct file link downloads too. Generous storage/bandwidth too. Never had a problem.
:Edit:
Well, yeah you do have to register, but it's quick easy and not invasive. Well worth it for the benefits described above. I am able to upload mp3s here in a matter of a minute or so with two clicks and have them posted. Just enable a cookie for the site to remember you and it will take you right to your account/upload area when you click dropbox.com. I have tried all the rest, but this one owns them all. If you have ever worked with an FTP type structure, this is the most intuitive to file organizing and functions as your computers OS.

Hink, metalifuxx,
thanks for the ideas, I'll try them out one of these days !
Atm I'm busy with S-Gear, it really is fantastic and the tones hold up well the next day, something I always had issues with before when using sims, unlike in hardware.
And then I have to make room for a new old amp that'll follow me home tomorrow, don't these things ever learn ?
I'll report in the amp thread.
Cheers,
susiwong

Wasn't to worried about that at the time but I see the point. Not sure what would be a better option for easy access to the file.susiwong wrote:https://sites.google.com/site/moreliasi ... S-Gear.mp3

I might be wrong though.
Rhythm = The Duke
Lead = The Stealer
Guitar = Ernie Ball Steve Morse through a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB

I'd have guessed differently, goes to show how versatile these amps are !
Thanks for explaining.
That Steve Morse is a nice guitar.

I got to say with all the clips posted, this truly sounds like thee Marshall amp sim. From interface to interface and different guitars, it's quality all the way through. Busy weekend. I'll have time to give the demo a spin this week some time when time allows. I don't want this amp sim causing sleep deprivation/insomnia
