A.M. Gold wrote:Yes, get your popcorn while the fans crowd around their idol. Otherwise, this never would have been an argument. As I said, 95% of developers offer demos, and that isn't by accident.

This argument is silly, but that isn't because of what the defenders of this developer will claim.
Of course we're fans. Cause we actually buy the plugin and enjoy the plugin. I'm using it in all of my music related work and it's really great. The fact is we've tried it and we like it. You don't see people who have actually buy it complaining about it's lack of use, heck most of us only ask for the x64 version.

The silly part is for people like you and compyfox to keep repeating the same demand when it's clear to see that the developer is busy making the plugin perfect for those that actually BUY it. Heck, he promised an update and he delivers in a fast time for people who buy the plugin. If he don't have time to make a demo for others, so be it, cry me a river. I wanted all his time to perfect his plugin, instead of making demo for now.

Diego has never said he won't do a demo. Wait or move on, simple as that.

Diego has never claimed "best filter on the market, great emulaton". Users have done that.

Diego has never said he quit KvR (his absence doesn't confirm that either, maybe he just doesn't want to post here because he doesn't want to, simple as that. Live with it).

Diego wasn't secretive, he just didn't give specifics just like many other developers in the past. Don't like this, move on and don't support him, simple as that.

It's pretty easy gents, just move on if you're not satisfied with his attitude and the lack of demo.

None of this is my business, I have nothing to do with Sonimus but Diego is a good friend and I've exchanged tons of mails, tests, etc., etc., with him. This is why I can say the attitude in this thread is beyond ridiculous. There's no evil agenda for God's sake, the guy has his hands full with all the fixes and versions, give him time... or move on, simple as that.

+1!!

And to A.M.Gold: It is not about fandom, it is about positive user experience, simple as that.

Sorry my post wasn't directed towards you but the discussion in general. All I can say it works very well and in worst case you lose $4 because you could sell it easily for $35 (uhm, not sure about license transfer though?!!).

It seems like my ears are made of wood since I can only barely hear any difference in the youtube video... :(
Still not as bad as some bootsie plugins where I have to chain three of them together and max out the settings to hear it. Do I need professional help? :help:

Haha Compyfox... haven't you been the guy that told me it's totally ok that I have to buy an iLok2 to demo VCC? Now you're whining here... Satson is 39$, ilok2 is 39€ ... ridiculous.

Of course it would be better if there was already a demo, but tbh I really like the "customers first" attitude.

Cheers,
Doc

I'll emphasize it again, and for the last time, I do not take the blame of last thread's outcome, neither for this, or the vanish of the developer here on KVR.

Look for another black sheep.

gavriloP wrote:Your views are clearly >snip<...
I won't comment on that, since this is not even slightly the case and a definite insult towards my direction.

gavriloP wrote:If you need demo, tough. I didn't need and I am damn pleased, this is one of the best buys I've ever done.
This is your right to speak freely, but I am not convinced - I want to test it myself. But I'm locked out of a test since there is no demo. Only a purchase, and no known refund as of yet.

(still have to get an answer through email)

I won't comment on the rest.

xamido wrote:The silly part is for people like you and compyfox to keep repeating the same demand when it's clear to see that the developer is busy making the plugin perfect for those that actually BUY it.
Are you trying to insult me?
What is wrong in actually wanting to test something prior to a purchase?

It is a longtime investment, and I want to know if it is working as it should. On my rig, in my environment, with my workflow.

We're going full cycle once again - and so far the only one that is objective on that issue, is A.M.Gold and Mercado as passive bystander.

Mercado_Negro wrote:...I have nothing to do with Sonimus but Diego is a good friend and I've exchanged tons of mails, tests, etc., etc., with him. ... There's no evil agenda for God's sake, the guy has his hands full with all the fixes and versions, give him time... or move on, simple as that.
Then please tell the "guy" to answer his mails - or update his page with infos like: will VAT be added for European Customers, what payment method, official(!) contact data and if there will be a refund if there is no demo.

I think they call it a FAQ on my end of the globe.

I'll give it another 48 hours. If I still didn't get an answer by mail - I'm being honest with you, pass on the "hype" and rather support a firm that actually answers questions and cares for their (possible and current) customers.

Sorry to say that.
(not directed at you, Mercado or A.M.Gold)

Yes, since you actually "have" a demo.
You people wanted to test it, you only needed an iLok - you didn't like that and derailed the VCC thread.

You "had" the option, but didn't reach out for it. What does that count for?
"Your loss"?

And yes, I did have to buy an iLok2 myself to actually continue using VCC. But this is NOT about VCC, this is about SatSon.

Stop derailing the thread.

This always was about SatSon and it still is. If you think different, and move towards another direction ON PURPOSE - it is neither my problem, nor my fault.

Have a nice day - the sun is shining outside (at least on Germany).
Go out, or make some music. I prefer the former for today.

Of course it's your fault. When a guy keeps repeating the same demand all the time it annoys others. Even after a lot of us explains to you that he's busy making updates for the actual customer. He release an update which actually fix a problem in my studio one AU version actually, for me it's a proof that he's a responsible developer.

But you? The whole post you post in this thread is all about asking for DEMO, DEMO, DEMO, or REFUND if you don't like it. Well guess what, you're not the most important thing in the world for the developer right now, it's the customer. That's why i ends up annoyed with your demand, he fullfilled mine, yet when he doesn't fullfilled your DEMAND for a demo, you go whine and whine and whine.

Oh well, i guess i might have cross the line here. I don't want to insult you, i just want to tell you that i believe the developer is busy fixing some bug for the registered customer. Why must it be so hard for you to understand it? If you don't like his attitude then so be it. But repeating redundant demand?

this is so ridiculous it is kind of embarrassing

the developer might be busy, and he will no doubt have his priorities as he sees fit

and staying away from pointless forum threads may well be one of them

Please steer this back on topic...this is about the plugin.

Demo is in the pipeline with no promises of timescales. In fact Diego has heavily focused on getting the orders out and providing the existing users, customer base, with the required updates for OSX and x64 vst which is now available.

The guy is independant and deserves that respect, most of all KVR members should really pay attention to that and also this guy is delivering to his shrewd promises and deadlines. I appreciate that.

It works great, wait for the demo (demos = public domain releases, not paid and widely circulated for the crackers to get themselves started). There are demos of Satson applied to tracks out on the net. It is a subtle plugin and again not a weird and wacky effects plugin, unless you want a little heat and distortion to the signal.

Oh and to let a cat out of the bag whilst we are enjoy the lisping of pussy shots...he is also working on another plugin.

Can't wait.

Post

Yeah, i understand. I was wrong to care about others opinion just now. Sorry for getting caught up in the moment.

Anyway about satson i definitely recommend others to use it. The saturation is always a good addition for me. But i just wish the fat is a fader instead so i can adjust the slight distort a little bit. The meter is really good, i actually compare it with psp vintage meter and i think satson is more exact in term of metering. But maybe it's just me.

Hmm... I understand this Demo thing but the plug-in has such a low price, I paid 28€ and already own VCC. Some of us has made some audio demos and there are large threads in all forums (KvR & Gearslutz).

It's some of the plug-ins where I would say "buy it and support the developer from Argentina" :tu:

What was the dev planning with the next update again? I can't find that post anymore.
