I got it and I really like it. It's subtle enough to not be intrusive but you can still hear it on my uber low quality speakers. Usually a lot of the harmonic stuff is lost on them.
I've tried putting it on every track but I prefer to put the channel on several sends (busses) and the bus on the master. I then use it like a multiband effect, with the High/Low pass filters.
The only thing it could use is a few more colouring options. Perhaps there could be a "Pro" version with different flavours.
Cheers,
Nigel

I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

Please stay on topic here, fellows...
I am a little bit sad about all this "Demo" discussion again.
If I would have known this before I had not made this thread.
Understand me right, I have no opinion about demo or not. I only want a great discussion about the quality of this plugin, not more, but no less.
Regarding sound quality: I made all effords to post audio demos here, seems my intention was obsolete. Puh, please fellows, lie down on the floor and keep calm, finally.

is someone being annoying around here?
ignore him, he'll go away soon enough. that type thrives on the attention
SATSON is adding more depth and definition to my mix. it's more punchy and the apparent loudness is increased.
great job! thx for the price break too
i think mercado negro's suggestion to place it at the end of your fx chain is best. as he says, you're constantly mixing through it as with a real console

No. Consider yourself lucky!! Once you start hearing those subtleties and get addicted to them, that's when you should start worrying!Liero wrote:It seems like my ears are made of wood since I can only barely hear any difference in the youtube video...![]()
Still not as bad as some bootsie plugins where I have to chain three of them together and max out the settings to hear it. Do I need professional help?
The past year I've been trying to consciously practice myself back into seeing the whole picture instead of stressing about ridiculous details. Just yesterday I managed to further that goal simply by moving the genelec's 1 meter back.. slightly away from that microscopic near field position. Worked wonders so far!
It's good practice to learn to hear subtle nuances (you can practice it with ABX tests) but it is NOT good practice to start obsessing over them. The music/audio as a whole is still way more important. Yeah, I know I'm stating the obvious but I'm saying it again for my own sake!!
Cheers!

Come on now.. posts like these hardly help. If you are not willing to contribute with sensible or informative posts then you can hardly consider yourself having the right to complain, can you?Fred_Abstract wrote:this place is very bad these days, this forum is becoming crap haha too much assholes , old kvr was good but now this forum is a joke.

I just bought it 4 hours ago and it still says "You don't have purchases" in "My Area". I PMd to support too, nothing yet. Is it normal to take that much time? Can't wait to use it

Now that x64 is out, I believe he's working on a "modern console" crosstalk model option which has less perceptable crosstalk. (Probably something I'd use on my synth and master busses.) There were some other features he talked about as well.
I used satson for the first time over the past two nights. It does seem to add some subtle magic to the mix, even when not tweaked. I'm working on a remix to fix my mix of Cold (1st track on Light at the link below) because I thought it had a little mud and was a tad squashed. Anyway, I slapped the buss plugin on the vocal channel wile playing the track and instantly the vocals popped out a bit more and gained some stereo sheen or air or something. I was also able to use the filters to cut out some of the mud that I struggled to cut out with parametric EQ without making the mix sound too thin (that could just be a matte of using my ears instead of my eyes, but to me it sounded really good).
The other thing I noticed is that in a test project I made, could add over 420 instances of Satson channel at 64 samples latency on my ProFire 2626 (i7 980x) and still reached only 65% ASIO load.
