Hey U-he,
I have some automation name problems. I have tried to change the com.u-he.Zebra2.publicparams.text file name, as mentioned on other entries, but can only see tiny paramater names in the automation menu such as... atk, sus, dly, cst about a hundred times, impossible to find the right tweak. I am on Cubase 5 and dont have the problem with any other soft synth. Any Clues?

cheers

Well... that sounds like you actrually *got* the extended parameter names, but instead of Env1:Atk Cubase only gives yo Atk...

Let me think of something... be back in a minute...

Hi, please try this:

http://www.u-he.com/PublicparamsZ2_ext.zip

Copy the enclosed com.u-he.Zebra2.publicparams.txt into this location:

..\Vstplugins\Zebra2.data\Support\

I have replaced the ':' in the parameter name by an underscaore ('_'). Now you should read e.g. "MSEG1_Vel" for MSEG1 Velocity parameter.

Unfortunately I *had* to abbreviate these parameter names very harshly, because some hosts can not handle parameter names longer than 15 letters.

Hope this helps,

;) Urs

Hey,

Tried that file, renamed it as th only .xt in the support folder... nothing changed... removed the other two publicparams files... nothing... Tried the new version without a .xt, that caused havoc and nothing worked, but thats probably logical... no idea, massive, reaktor, messiah and predator seem to be all good on the automation front. Anything else i can say about my setup that could help? Oh Windows 7... Will try reinstalling Zebra and get back to you if anything changes...

and one other thing, this happens rarely, but sometimes zebra plays any note it wants to, with very little in common with what midi is saying, found a forum entry saying it is written into the demo, but i have the full version... When i restart cubase it works fine. This also dosn't happen on any other soft synth... Again, no idea...

Thanks
props on the quick responce....

Hi,

Hmmm... why did you rename it?

The file that Zebra reads when its first instance is created is *only* ever

..\Vstplugins\Zebra2.data\Support\com.u-he.Zebra2.publicparams.txt

Zebra never reads the .xt version. If you want it to be loaded, you have to delete the normal one and rename the xt one to com.u-he.Zebra2.publicparams.txt

What was the havoc? It should really run just fine...
