I really like this one. What a bargain for the price! If I didn't have a bunch of cash invested in Amplitube, I'd be getting this one for sure.
After a bit I did wish for some stomps and a sync-able delay... maybe some reverb, but for pure raw amp tone it's excellent, and again, it's a cheepy.

I'm liking it... easy to add the other pedals (VST's) - the amps are sounding great.
Now the proud owner of an avid 11 Rack, Running Pro Tools 10.3.3 - for me it's heaven!

price per module compared to AT 3.5, especially the quality, seems like quite the bargain.

Long time lurker, first time caller. I've got to say this is the first guitar sim I've used that I really like. I'm a blues guy and maybe that's a big reason why. Perhaps the sounds in here are much warmer and natural to my ears than the others.
Besides the fantastic sounds I'm getting, the second best part is the simplicity of it all. Normally when I'm using an amp plugin I do more tweaking than playing. Not the case here, I actually have a few new blisters forming with this one.
While I think a reverb unit and a few more amps would be great, I'd rather keep this one simple and cost effective. That's a big part of its appeal. I would rather see a tuner added right now more than anything else, but that's more of a convenience thing.
Besides, there are some amazing free effects out there that have been already mentioned in this thread.(TSE808)
Outstanding work that has renewed my interest in the amp sim world. I will be buying for sure.

I doubt it. IK's rigged it so you can't really sell their software anyway, which I'm OK with as I'm happy with it. I spent some time trying to replicate a tone I got with S-Gear's Marshall and I ended up with something that I liked even more. It's not really a fair fight because I was able to quickly get some room ambiance and a little post cab compression for some "oompfh" that I wasn't able to get with S-Gear. It's funny, the tone I became obsessed about replicating actually ended up sounding a bit flat compared to what I was able to get with Amplitube.davidka wrote:They are in the works, as far as I know. Maybe you'll eventually sell AT3... Who knows?
I'm sure if I put a compressor and good reverb after S-Gear it would probably be a draw, but one-stop shopping is important to me when I'm working on a guitar sound. Frankly I love Vintage Amp Room too, but I don't own it because I honestly don't like to have to cob together a bunch of plugs to get the sound I want. Don't even get me started on the new Moller pedal models.
So with Amplitube Free out and this out for cheap, it's a good time for someone to dip their feet into the world of amp modeling, that's for sure. Softube better start thinking about some deep discounts if they want to compete. NI too. Their amps sound dead to me in comparison.

Softube, yeah, if they bring their DSP from that Marshall JMD:1 modeling amp into the software ampsim domain, and do a new ampsim based around it, that would be really cool.

It's a good sounding sim at a good price, but it's in line with it's competition, which is a good thing. Maybe this will get Softube will blow out Amp Room for a more realistic price...

Interesting. Could we hear these results? Would you please PM me the patch if you saved it?zerocrossing wrote:I spent some time trying to replicate a tone I got with S-Gear's Marshall and I ended up with something that I liked even more. AmpliTube seems to sound really good on everything BUT Marshall for me.

Tone is subjective.... but I'll say this, I own Vintage Amp Room, Amplitube, Revalver and.... even an AXE-FX Ultra, they are all capable products especially the AXE-FX yet there is something very special about S-Gear.zerocrossing wrote:I doubt it. It's very musical.
Everything makes sense, when you turn a knob on it, it reacts in a very positive way.
It's just a joy to play.

It says on the site:
Is this stating that if you run it bridged it will work in x64? Standalone? I went through this thread with the search x64 and never saw an answer.Supported Operating Systems:
- Windows 7 (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Windows Vista (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Windows XP (SP2 or later)

Will there be an AU version. If so what is the eta?
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

+1, interested in your result, too. IMHO S-Gear is in a whole different league than Amplitube.blueman wrote:Interesting. Could we hear these results? AmpliTube seems to sound really good on everything BUT Marshall for me.Incidentally, the new Soldano sounds more "Marshall" to me than the others. This I where S-Gear shines IMO. And...there's no Dumble in AT 3.5 so...for me, S-Gear is not a replacement but a PERFECT supplement to AmpliTube 3.x
