You're right. Back to topic. I just tested it myself and couldn't hear a difference when chaining Zebra after e.g. Helix. Maybe I need to do more in-depth tests tomorrow.

Confirmed. Sound routed to Zebra's inputs is only processed by the bottom grid. You can get some nasty feedback effects by patching Zebra's outputs back into itself. :D

Im gonna second that. Ive gone back and confirmed that the sound from anything placed above or before zebra bypasses the synth grid and ends up in the effects grid. But the sound from the zebra preset ends up there too so they still come together at some point which could create some pretty nice sound material in my experience. :D :D :D
