Hi guys - just wanted to post it here too that the SonicProjects VM Bundle has been updated to version 2.0 to fit the new 2.0 VFX software and V-Machine firmware

http://www.sonicprojects.ch/vmbundle/

As a VM Bundle user you should have received an update mail. If not please contact us.

LIST OF FIXES AND CHANGES:

- comes as a compact vfxlibrary with new bank format
- Mac VFX: Installation just by doubleclicking the vfxlibrary
- no need to replace dlls anymore, automatic switch to built in non-GUI vfxdlls if used in the V-Machine
- some new presets in the OP-X bank (some others removed)
- mapped banks as standard now
- Stringer: fixed preset radio buttons, now work correctly in VFX 2.0
- OP-X: fixed octave radio buttons
- newest version of OP-X pc version included (small installation fix for win vista & 7)

Here's a new installation video guide:
http://www.sonicprojects.ch/vmbundle/vm ... guide.html

Required: VFX/firmware 2.0.20101204

There's too a new demo version:
http://www.sonicprojects.ch/vmbundle/in ... l#freedemo

The demo vfxlibrary can just be copied to a stick and played directly from it with the V-Machine. Limitation: audio breaks, Stringer only playable in the octave C4 - C5

Check it out :-)

I am only seeing the Beta build for the VFX app still . Am I missing something or did you mean to say the firmware was only updated ?

Also :
If not a VM bundle customer , but an owner of OPX VFX edition would this new 2.0 VFX app not be compatible ?

As for the

Does this mean a complete reinstall of all plugins or does the new Library scan the previous and copy over ?

And not that it really matters , but should it not be version 1.0 as the others were still beta builds ?

I'm too a bit astonished that the current version still is signed as "Beta" - the current 20101204 build appears in VFX and the V-Machine as 2.0.20101204 - so this definitely is the 2.0 version SM Pro Audio were speaking about

No worries, OP-X PRO-II VFX Edition already is optimized for the newest builds of VFX; you don't need to change anything

For a plugin update (if this should come one day) in VFX mac you just can overwrite the old one on import, and updating VFX also just overwrites the old build and doesn't mess up the installed plugins; it's quite straight-forward

Thanks Peter . I got excited when I read NEW V machine V2.0 update as yes they are still in beta according to their site , besides I have been running 20101204 for several months now so not new to me . As well as I thought you were talking about the entire library .... not just the prebuilt one you release with your products ( as if they had changed something in what I thought was a new version ) Anyway ....
Thanks for the clarification .

Been playing with the VFX software, got my Synthmaker plugins to load and work, if you use the stock oscillators, you just have to load the little triangle and sawtooth dat files with it.

Btw, that's what you can do with a setup of VM Bundle and a BCR2000 controller. The MIDI feedback function is one of the greatest features of the V-Machine, it works like a charm:

Is this on Mac RunBeer?
No joy for me on OSX 10.5.8.
The GUIs won't show sadly. I will contact SMPro I guess.

If you have black plugin GUI's when using the mac VFX application you should upgrade to the latest VFX software. That was fixed well over a year ago with a compatability fix. If this is something different then contact VFX support by clicking on the link below and ensure you list what VFX version you have.

Website updates are going to happen very soon for non beta software. V2.0 software will be free to download, even if you do not own a hardware product and wish to trial the software before purchasing a V-Machine.

Hey Nix, I'm on Windows. Just bored enough to test the free software.

Thanks men,
I will contact SMPro today.
I updated to the latest beta version to test if this problem still persisted before my last post.
Hmm, what happens is the default workspace for SynthMaker is shown. A grid of grey and white squares. Sometimes there are random little graphics on it, not parts of the plug's GUI.
If I recall correctly, perhaps SM uses GDI, which is Windows based.
