Thanks - did it myself (but analysed a gazillion pages for ideas)

Just that the Zebra without stripes looks like a horse :D
Nice look though (this thing with the studio pics is to make people envious, I guess :? )

I MUST eventually continue work on my page....

Well, the studio pics are merely there for street cred. We love synths, we value hardware, and that is directly connected to the sound of the software.

I would hardly ever use any of these machines in production (exceptions: JP-6, Andro, Alpha Juno) as they're just not reliable enough, or too hard to control. However, they all have some things to offer that we can learn from. You'll always see one of us noodle one of them.

We're even setting up an area for a soldering iron and breeding boards, so we can rebuild e.g. the circuity of a Synthex or an Arp. That makes things even easier to analyse than opening the real deal.

Looks amazing. :-)

I had no idea you had so many classic synths, it's an impressive collection by anyone's standards!

The new design is really slick. I hope it helps you guys shift more units! (Can we call them units?).

Also, yes, please put some stripes back on the 'Horsesynth 2.5' logo :P

@Sendy: I'm addicted to synths. I do softsynhs because I love that stuff.

@Mario: Let's meet soon! Do you still have that Korg synth?

I second that.

Urs, ACE is all I use now for rolling my own analog sounds. It has such beautiful, sweet tones!

I couldn't help but notice the MemoryMoog. The extremely rich tones that Jan Hammer used to get with that thing when he synced the oscillators and swept the freq of the synced osc was musical ecstacy! It allowed him the ability to accentuate any overtone he wanted, which sounded quite a bit like feedback, so in essence he could have feedback on any overtone he wanted at any time just by moving his pedal - major third (unheard of!), or just on the fifth, or minor seventh, major ninth, etc. That sound was absolute epic synth history, and was the very sound he used on the synth ("guitar") solo for the theme song of Miami Vice, the last instrumental tune to hit #1 in America. We won't talk about the U.S. music industry since then...
