Lol, not right now. I'm not saying never, but you guys have been spoiled with many great apps already.

Us dirty Android folk have got a lot of work to do to catch up, so for now I'm betting on the underdog. :wink:

Hey SingleCell!

Thanks for the updates - really enjoying this. At lunch I go out to my car, turn on the Vibrants bluetooth and play it thru the car stereo...great! I'm thinking of using Caustic this weekend on the Electro-Music.com Summer Solstice webcast (along with other apps).

Quick question - is there a way to get a complete long sequence to loop? One sequence I've been playing with is pretty long and even if I zoom out I can't get the complete sequence on one screen (Samsung Vibrant). Unfortunately that means the looping selection at the bottom can't be dragged far enough to cover the entire sequence. It seems the sequencer won't scroll when trying to select the complete sequence.

A possibility of having a Loop Sequence Button option? :?:

Yeah, that's something that was brought up by another user a few weeks ago so I've made the loop region auto-scroll if you go past the edge of the screen. Of course this doesn't help you because that version isn't out yet.

For now, i guess you have two options:

1 - Support my evil competitor and use ReLoop :hihi:
2 - PM me if you're interested in trying a beta build with scrolling

Was the CAUSTIC paid app removed from the Android App Store? It's not showing up on my Vibrant - just the free version... :?:

The free app is the only one at the store. You upgrade to the paid version through an in-app purchase.

Ah - ok.... Thought I saw it in the APP store before - g0t an upgrade notice for the FREE version - but it crashed - probably because I have the paid app.

firstly, congrats on developing this app, its supercool

a couple of feature request/comments

1) shuffle on the beatbox currently seems to morph the beat into 1/8T (im no musician so could be wrong with this notation) - but anyway, it would be nice for this to adjust 1/16T quantisation, for a "swing" rather than "march" effect. The option to do both would be insane.

2) sample decay length would be great on the beatbox or on the pcm.

3) hi/lo/bandpass would be great as in insert effect. modulated would be amazing.

4) midi export!!! (and import, but no so important, as id mainly id like to export from this to another daw)

5) sub synth is great - any chance we could get one more? as much as like the 303 emu, i dont use that much acid in my songs. i appreciate the rebirth reference, but subsynth is just so well designed.

Yeah, I've changed it to 1/16T for the next version, not sure if that will piss people off who like the 1/8T, I can add a selector and support both no problem, but it gets pretty crowded when I add them, so I'm not sure where I'll settle...

Really? Yeah I can add that, easy. I've got a "auto-wah" effect coming out which will just be a bandpass tied to an envelope follower, but I can offer a static LP/HP/BP filter as well.

Yes, MIDI file export is planned, not for the next version (1.1) but probably the one after it (1.1.1)

Yup, that's another common request. Really it's what I wanted Caustic to be, a fully dynamic rack where you add the machines YOU want. I just had to settle on a basic kit or I would have never released it. On my roadmap, the dynamic rack comes as Caustic 2.0, so that's probably a few months away still, but it will happen !

Fair enough, but will it be possible to do the realtime recording (low latency, direct/realtime input) with Caustic anytime soon..? Or is asking for such feature on Android is pointless....?
BTW; Apparently ImageLine (FL Studio) has found a solution... Can that be true?
