Hey folks,

so just a first experiment:

Please tell me what you think. Many more are being prepared, but the main question is the narration, which is done by me here and I honestly hate my voice :D. Be honest! :D

Cheers!

Honestly, not bad but not great. I didn't really have any problems understanding but I imagine some people will.

The subtitles don't really help because in a video tutorial you're wanting to watch what's happening on screen, and not be reading subtitles.

My advice would be to look for a native English speaker to volunteer to read the scripts for you. I think it could work without, but you'd be increasing your chances.

Obviously, I don't mean this to be rude, but you asked for an honest opinion. the rest of the video production seemed fine, even if the ducks did almost pysche me out :D

Hehe yeah, thanks I thought so! :)
I originally thought I'd leave it for subtitles, but then I found out they are really blocking the stuff one should really watch. I'm checking about people with better voice here, I just wanted to take my chances and see what my "awesome" voice can produce :D.

I really would keep the subtitles. The voice is sometimes hard to understand and I'm glad I can read the subtitles. English isn't my native language.

If something is that important I first read the subtitles, than rewind and look at the video. With subtitles I don't have to worry I don't understand some parts, I can even use a dictionary. But without subtitles it's more fishy to understand some parts.

Another option would be to show the video without subtitles but add the subtitles as a pdf. It's always great to be able to use a dictionary for people whose native language isn't English. But without written txt it's difficult to use a dictionary as I don't know how an unknown word is written.

No no, don't worry, the subtitles will remain, the main question here is my voice

I liked the sound of your voice, but the accent could use some improvement so the subtitles were indeed helpful.

I would say, you did a great job...especially comparing to the vids before.

Don't worry too much about your voice...I like the way you did it and I have to say, many of the native english speakers are a little bit spoiled...enjoy your advantage, that the rest of the world has to conform to your language, but don't demand, that everything has to be in perfect english especially not with all the really mad slangs found in many videos from native english persons and which are very hard to understand for the rest of the world...

I am german and I do understand perfectly what you are saying without looking at the subtitles...and with the subtitles, there is no reason to ask for more.
Another advantage, if you'd do it on your own: Meldaproduction is your work your soul and I think a lot of effort...nobody can represent this better than you.

If you have fun to make the vids yourself, save the money you'd have to spent for a native english speaking...and just do it

The quality of the video is very good in both, vision and sound...(except perhaps the meldaproduction intro...it's a little bit cheap looking)...

But I would say: Go for it as you did.

Man you have swing in your voice !! And also a "little" layback !

As a german i have to admit its not always easy to understand.

I did only go for the speech. No video.

A little less swing and layback , a little more straight, would satisfie my 'command and order' petted ears more. ;)

Thanks folks!
Anyway the true advantage of doing it on my own is that it is quick. With external narrator I have to make the video, export it, send it, he'll send the narration, I'll process the narration, put it into the video and render it again :D. Lot's of unnecessary work. So thanks for heads up!

It sometimes is a little harder to understand, mainly because it is awfully fast :). I didn't know that when recording it, so I had to slow it down afterwards, just to make it "narratable" :). Well, experience for the next time.

Hi,

i like your video. But i think you are explaining a little bit to fast and that's a problem understanding your english with this accent.
A little bit slower and everything will be become great.

I'm intent about your next videos!!!!

Thanks and greetings

Hello forum,

Maybe, speaking a little slower would help the user(s) understand better.
The subtitles are fine too because of being translucent. They can be made a little smaller though.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi,Vojtech
Well i am not a native english speaker and i understand more you're voice than a real english speaker :)
The "tone" of the voice is really ok for me!
The video is good (i like the simple box effect transition)
It looks almost professionnal.
And the subtitles are greats for the non english persons
Beetween the music is entertaining but a little nervous i think bad choice for the music :)
