Wow, Uhbik x64 is great news. You've just gained a new customer. May I offer you a couple beers next time I'll be in Berlin?Urs wrote:Yeah... the new site will go "official" with the new versions...Versia Nova wrote:Good looking site! Congrats!
Any news on vst3 and/or 64-bit versions? Banners on the site say that VST 32/64 downloads for PC are available for all plugins but actual zip files contain only old 32-bit versions.
Unfortuantely I've lost the Photoshop file (as always...) of the download buttons, otherwise I would have edited the 64 out for now...
a new u-he website is on the way!

Very nicely done all the way around.
Minor typo spotted on the Urs team trivia page:
"u-he was the shortes abbreviation ..."
That said, I especially enjoyed reading the team trivia entries for both Urs and Howard ... informative and most amusing!

Would it be possible to do some kind of mouse hover outlines a particular module or feature, clicking it masks or fades out the rest of the image and/or highlights the outlined thing?Urs wrote: About the yellow stars in the image maps - we tried a lot (target rings, circles, everything). I truely believe that the yellow stars offer the best visual hint, both on Zebra's shades of grey and Mfm/Filterscape's blue/green schemes.
Also there was something that felt like brain activity about preset management (honestly, I get confused, sometimes it's just the empty cup of coffee ...) - I think a 1-to-5-star system is a bit cumbersome, but possibly 5 'levels' like - Top, Up, blank, Down, and Hidden, and then display the patches not in alphabetical order, but by rank and then by alphabetical order? And also have e.g. an internal list of only 'Top' ranked presets that oversees all subfolders, or a few different visibility modes (Top & Up, all but Hidden, all including Hidden).
Perhaps also a right-click to flag all presets in a subfolder as un-visited, unflagging if the patch is loaded - this would let someone know which presets have been visited, might not need to persist across sessions.
And finally a right-click on patch to copy it to the MIDI Programs folder, and perhaps an option to declare a particular MIDI Programs folder within an instance of Zebra? I can see how that last one could be complicated though.
Anyway, not sure if I've had not enough or too much coffee, but going to drink more. Congrats on the new website, it's very well done and as always with your stuff really endearingly organic in a business-y sort of way!

The website looks good, Urs!
+1 for the trivia,
"doesn't like crowds, especially not below his window at 4am"
Can't keep the pesky fan girls away, eh?...

Hehe, that was written when I still lived in Prenzlberg, which is a major tourist area in Berlin. Hence - being so touristy - there are a gazillion of tiniest galleries. These galleries are so tiny, they can hang only 3 pictures at a time. They compensate their lack of exhibition space by having vernissages twice a week. Which draws a crowd of 30 people for free sparkling. Those 30 people don't fit into the gallery at once, so they stand outside to wait and celebrate. It takes till 4 am until everyone has seen all 3 pictures and all sparkling is drank.

I know how that is, I live next to a Fairgrounds, which hosts anything and everything from Motorcycle Exhibitions to Ozzy Osbourne concerts to farm equipment shows. Motorcycle exhibitions are the noisiest, you get bikers with their choppers by the dozen roaring past the house at 3am.Urs wrote:Hehe, that was written when I still lived in Prenzlberg, which is a major tourist area in Berlin. When I was young, me and my brothers would throw small toys at people coming into the fair late at night(We were practically sentenced to death more than once by my Mom for this.) My brother even got a christmas bell into some guy's cowboy hat once.
But wow, I bet tourist season was incredibly noisy there...

Tourist season is always. They practically live there. My wife calls everyone a tourist who moves to Berlin for party reasons rather than necessityEsgalachoir wrote:
