Or has santa clause put me on the "bad" list this time again. :D
Not yet, I'm sorry... RTAS PC is going to be one of the tedious tasks for my 2nd developer. My RTAS support needs a complete overhaul, which I tend to push aside in my head

I'll ask Angus how we can fix the issues with the wrapper for now... that might be a good compromise for the time being.

Aside from web development we also have another problem (albeit a pleasant one): Hans Zimmer's favourite Minimoog arrived at our studio today... I have no clue how long we can keep it, but we'll certainly need to spend some time analysing this gem... can't have Diva not sound like it...
Oh snap! Will it also be able to replicate the routing? Ie. 3 oscillators?

Not sure yet. As far as I can see, VCO 2 will always be an FM/Sync slave with only few options. But VCO 1 could be a rather flexible section with the occasional "dual vco" setup. So maybe 3 simple VCOs...

Mind you, we're analysing the Mini for certain properties that are useful for Zebra and Berlin Modular as well. I'm quite sure that Hans specifically mentioned Zebra in that context ;-)

That would be perfect for a quick little minimoog! Having a plug-in that has the simple straight forward interface of the classic synths, yet could either emulate a minimoog, or switch some osc/filter settings and emulate an MS-20... that would be nice indeed. I'd love it if you nailed the MS-20 lp/hp series.

Ok so i see that it's christmas in U-Heville
Great if you could solve the issue with the wrapper, i also noticed that the RTAS version for mac has the extended info on automation that i asked for in another thread. It has no numbers like the PC version, instead it says VCF1-Cutoff etc etc, which is great, no support for Ctrl-Alt-Option click for quick automation in Pro Tools though............late 2011?

Any news from Angus about the wrapper?
Aside from the GUI bugs i stumbled into another error on the RTAS version for mac.
when working with zebra i cant get it to respond to any automation cutoff or resonance of the VCF2 or 3 (cant remember)
Temporary bug in my program? Im not on my OSX machine right now so i cant verify but i tried alot of solutions.
Couldnt get it to respond to any automation of the delays either, feedback or mix.

Angus says it should just work and there's no reason for my stuff not getting mouse events. I'm not sure. All I know is, it doesn't work since VST2.4

We're putting out AU64 release candidates on Monday along with Win versions ( unless anything goes wrong ) and then I'll dedicate next week to PT9

Regarding automation, just like the earlier days with Live, I'd recommend using XY-controls. It's become pretty quick ever since one can right-click and assign knobs to them.

Is this just AU or is this RC's of VST3(.5) as well?

(JUST WONDERING, mate!) :hihi:
/E

VST3 is supported by (KVR sig <= 255 characters): Check my Steinberg sig

VST3.5 is going to be a project that starts in a few weeks, along with RTAS Win.

After all those updates we first want to work on some filter design. Specifically, we want to nail Alexander Hacke's MS-20, our nicer Juno 60, Hans Z's Minimoog, our Prophet One's CEM 3320 (plus Obie/Elka modifications to the circuit) and maybe some other filters that we have around. Can't seem to find any SSM 2044 in our lot... hmmm... but we do have some more Rolands, and of course that strange Korg...

In other words: Once the current update cycle is done, we really need a break and do something seriously entertaining.

The official version of ACE is still 32 bit, VST Mac/Win, AU, RTAS Mac

However, the upcoming update that includes 64-bit version for VST Win and AU is free for existing users. As will be the future updates for VST3, RTAS, etc.

The current 64-bit betas of ACE should run just fine btw. - no major problems reported.

BTW I used to own a Matten+Wiechers "Banana" with this filter in it. Sounded quite good, but not SO different (to my ears) from e.g. Prophet 5.

Hi Urs,

I am occasionally checking this thread for some news,
regarding the soon to be released updates - will
Filterscape get the original Automation list back again ?

This:

I also had to create a shortcut link to filterscape.data in the 64 directory to make the x64 version work.
Not so good: seems the automation list has changed - seems I have to re-save all koresounds (after redesigning the Kore controller pages), which I have saved with a prior (Beta-) version of Filterscape and FilterscapeVA...
I'll look into the automation list, have forgotten to check it - that one should be fixed in the final, so you won't need to update Kore files back and forth.

As for changes, MFM2 and Filterscape have various ui improvements (preset favourites etc.), MIDI Program Changes, bug fixes and what not. Especially Filterscape has inherited a lot of things such as gui resize, independence of msvcrt71.dll, got rid of uhe_data directory in favour of movable Filterscape.data

Regarding 32/64 bit, do people have different locations for different flavours? Should I offer separate installers for each?
just a reminder...

Cheers

BTW: glad you have a new website coming,
hopefully it makes following any changes and updates more easy.

I've fixed the automation in FilterscapeVA, but I have to yet fix it in the effect itself. Might do that tomorrow. There's also a bug in MFM to be fixed...
