The site says it's cooking, but there's no forum, no announcement date. Anybody knowing something ?

It's been cooking for along time. I hope the cook hasn't left the kitchen, as I'm ready for another serving. ESC is my utility software numero uno.

I mailed Wlod in november asking him about the future. At that time he said the new version was still under development and he expected it to be finished next year, which would make it 2012.

But I'm not holding my breath. This kind of absence usually means one thing, and I've seen it to many times to feel any kind of optimism.

Yes, especially now when Redmatica has fused with Apple and Keymap Pro is no longer available. But in the mail from Wlod, I got the impression he's rewriting both ExSC and SL in a SDK that will allow easier porting to other platforms.

Last time I spoke with the dev (over 1.5 years ago) he said a Mac version with EXS24 support is planned. Not heard anything since ...

Wlod has been absent for longish periods before over the years but has always come back (so far).

You guys are much more optimistic than I am. I just don't see the new version ever being released. I used to be one of the biggest supporters, but in my mind, the product is dead.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

I mailed Wlod (about Samplelord) many times in the last 1.5 year, and never got a single answer (he used to answer before).
This guy knows his code and it's a real shame if he's gone

I, too, would love to know if ESC 4 will ever see light of day. I have found tons of bugs in ESC 3 that makes certain parts of it unuseable.

I hope he's not MIA.

bump! Anybody got any news on this? ESC 3.xx is still being sold but is Wlod still alive? I can't get an email answer from him.

Any alternatives to ESC? I'm mainly interested in the automatic sampling and mapping of stuff. Especially VSTi plugins as I like to create crazy samples using Diva/ACE/Reaktor for my other projects.

Manual sampling and editing is such a PITA.

I have emailed him a couple of times and got no reply.
Extreme sample converter is brilliant, but is in need of an update.
Wlod is hopefully still working on it.
Someone must still be operating the site/dealing with problematic downloads etc.

Any news of extreme sample converter 4.0 ?
