Yes Pseudorandom will do as well.

As long as you consider its a totally honnest attempt on our part to describe the possible benefits of this feature in a simple understandable way to our users in well ...... music AND a musxal instrument, and not disinformation, its more than ok with me

We also have to make things the most simple for people who are not into this quite abrupt appearance of meteorogy and complex maths into the field of Vstis.

The most simple way to say it though is probably : It can add LIFE

Otoh saying that is equally obscure so ....

For those of you however who could be interested in these fields, I'd suggest that you just google Lorenz and Attractor for example, and see what comes. Butterfly, as mentioned by Xavier, and wich btw is also the name of one of our ChaoX modes, will certainly give some results too, eventually interesting for Alaska residents

Seriously, it sounds wonderful!

However, I have to wait a little for the real fun because I can't get it run as hoped.

I tried the demo, installed at various locations (including a folder on the desktop) and two different hosts (Cubase 5.5.2 32 bit version and Chainer) and two different machines running Windows 7 64. In all cases I got troubles ranging from serious distortion to total system crashes.
When I open a second instance of Synthix the user interface of both instances stop having any knobs and buttons.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The site mentions a 64-bit version will be out soon. Isn't it possible to run the 32-bit pluging in 32-bit Cubase on 64-Windows 7?

I got that Newsletter email with the discount code yesterday, around 2 hours after i purchased Synthix but as this newsletter was released quite late i noticed it today in the morning. All Xils users that order now should not have those problems as long a they received that email from Xils Lab.

Me too actually :p Haha, I didn't use any discount codes for existing users (that I am, own Polykb2 that I purchased) but I don't mind actually paying the full price, it's ok since they make great products. So no need for refundz here

I just asked Xavier in a PM with giving my email address and the order number. This couldn't hurt i thought. At that time i didn't even know about that discount code. I thought this works automatic when i am logged in which i did. That way it worked when i upgraded from FXpansion Geist to Guru.
Anyway i could have recognized this earlier as the final price which was displayed was the one without any discount. I recognized it after i received the confirmation email from PayPal.

At the Synapase Audio and the Waldorf forum where i entered a post about the the group buy i mentioned that there is that discount code in the newsletter so hopefully others will not do the same mistake.

OK, problem solved. I downloaded the demo again and everything seems to run fine now.

I guess the demo which I downloaded yesterday was bugged and soon replaced by a good one.

In FL studio 10.0.2 each time i try to open the demo I get an access violation error twice. Then the synth goes ahead and opens up and is useable... very odd.

And also everytime I switch a preset I have to hit a new key to get the new one to show up.

First Separate instruments demo available : Pads

Pads + Strings + Brass + Fx + Percussions : Only the same AAR reverb on all clips + Elephant limiter on master bus. Not a single EQ, Compressor, edit or automation, just pushing keys and using Mod Wheel and/Or Aftertouch : Naked Truth Demo as usual. All comments welcomed

Synthix Pads, Brass, Strings, Fx

You can see for example that the Synthix can very easily do layerings with independant Arpegiattors aso.

What some people can think of as Sequences are actually ONLY ARPs in this demo. The real sequences will come later together with the Basses audio Demos.

Hope it shows some of te Synthix characteristics and possibilities.

got another one. Even though the synth makes noise after the two access violation I loose all animations in both the synth and FL studio. In other words when i record nothing moves, the timer, the marker, etc. It does record sort of but not exactly what I have played.

My demo download was yesterday at 7pm Central Standard Time USA. Was there an update after that? If so I can grab another download.

I uploaded a few hours ago a new dongle free demo.
There was a stupid bug

For the moment, the full version is not yet updated (to fast could say to bad)
Needs some more check before.

Hi Xavier,

the crash when closing an Ableton Live 8 project with Synthix is solved with the new version of the demo. No other crashes observed here with Windows 7 32-bit and Ableton Live 8.2.2.
