I'm really regretting purchasing this synth now. Not that the synth is bad, but I don't want to support somebody that doesn't answer simple questions about their software. He can be as vague as he wants just give us an answer!
Posts like these actually make me understand why Lennard doesn't react to threads like this. What makes you think that you DESERVE to know about the future of any of a companies products when you buy one ? Sylenth1 does what it advertises to do. If there are bugs, Lennard still fixes them, he still releases updates now and then, I think the last one was only a few weeks ago. If there's a problem, Lennard solves it or at least tries to be as helpful as possible (best way is to email him btw, if you have a problem). And still you are angry !?!

Gosh .. Happy my company doesn't have customers at all :)

Don't agree. If he said: "Guys, I'm tired of programing, working in pet store now, it makes me happy and alive." It would be totally OK. But as far as keeping tech support is great from him, not telling future in order to sell few more copies or whatever is kind of rude.

It would be simply solved by teling us yes or no, becouse now we don't know if invest to another gear or wait for him.

I'm sure he has many of richer users of Sylenth to pay some bills imediately after potentional release of anything new, so making us informed means loss compard to just leaving it to sell itself for few another motnhs, but it's rude to his loyal poorer fans. Not becouse they bought the product, but becouse they're still loyal to 6 years old syntetiser with few crucial features missing compared to other modern syntetizers.

I'm not sure I follow you, to me what you said doesn't make much sense? Richer users? You mean he has some rich users as sponsors, what what. Anyway, maybe Lennard doesn't even know himself if he's going to make something new
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

Sylenth 1 became a little trance legend. While interview for ASOT 450 was on air, some producers talked about it. Even Armin himself. I meant, that if Lennard released someting new, these people would not have any problem to buy it right away no metter if he told what he was doing before release. But we down here considering every buck are tied with loyality wee still keep.

before i can say he updated sylenth1 really regular and often.
where is he now?!
Like said, Lennard is still bringing out bug fixes, you must have noticed, though Sylenth1 has very matured and doesn't need a lot of upgrades as it is. Also, I think the beta status is more something you should see like a 'copy protection'; Lennard doesn't want to move to a dongle and as soon as he marks a version as an official one, it's downloadable as a crack.

About the future, I'd be surprised if something came out this year, though Lennard has stated in the past that he's always planned to create new music sofware after Sylenth1 ...
but this was not a problem to see that the beta was cracked for pc in april or march - so the status is useless now ...
but i#m still in love with my to go synth sylenth1 ♥

Sylenth1 has a certain quality about its sound, which is imo still rather unique.
There are many synths, which can kind of do the same, but the difference is:
In Sylenth1 you turn some knobs and it immediatly sounds incredible.
In other synths you need to tweak longer and usually the sound is missing something.

I don't know, what it is, but Sylenth1 does something right, where (almost?) any other softsynth out there fails.

It's really too sad, that we get really no information about what's happening with this technologie. I just hope, there will be a Sylenth2 somewhen .. with more features and possibilities, but the same quality.
Or if Lennard really just does something entirely different in his life, I just hope he'll release his "tricks" to the public, so that other developers can do better.

I really don't know if that's part of the reason why there hasn't been a Sylenth2 yet. I can only imagine the frustration it must yield to see your hard work cracked. But if it is, maybe Lennard SHOULD consider going dongle ... I too agree it would be a such a shame if there would never be a successor ...

Post

Guys, every copyprotection has been cracked. Dongle doesn't automatically mean that your product is in safe.

Also, don't forget that Sylenth is perhaps one of the most sold synth out there. I am pretty sure that Lennard is happy sylenth sale amount.

...which makes whole thing look even more rude.
I don't understand it at all.

I think we've got to give lennard a break because he's in a no win situation here, if he tells people about what he's doing you will just mither him about release dates and slate him if he does'nt keep to them and also you slate him because he's not telling you anything, as long as he provides support for the product thats fine by me, im sure lennard is aware of the popularity of sylenth and is probably hard at work creating sylenth 2 but we've also got to consider how much time goes into developing synths and he will also be relying on sound designers to complete their sound sets and another important factor is personal situation, these can all be time consuming.

Cheers

:D

Post

Totally agreed.

@FarleyCZ: Look, I know how much you want Sylenth2, everybody here wants such a product. I really don't know if there ever will be such thing (like I said before, Lennard repeatedly said he planned to do audio software after Sylenth1, that's all I know). What I do know is that I'm sure that he's not going to jump in on topics like this anyway and that topics like this aren't going to help his motivation at all ..

Post

Didn't start the topic, just joined. :-D
I know he will not jump to it, but a simple information about whether he's active in DSP or not would be cool reward for our loyality. :-)

People here are talking about a new beta. Is there even a new beta? The last one I have is the 2.21 from a year ago.
