Beatmaker 2 won't be for a while because I spent £12 on Beatmaker 1, and don't appreciate being shafted with a new 'version', rather than an update (and yes, I know it's the new Apple way, but I don't have to buy into it).
Having spent almost as much on iPad music apps as I have on just one PC DAW, I'm enjoying the possibilities. Once the Alesis dock (if ever) arrives, the iPad will have a permanent home in the studio

That statement is missing one serious point that the public needs to understand; When I buy a Nintendo game, it WORKS day 1, no hassles, no updates, no real 'bugs' (or at least extremely rare.) I absolutely cannot say that for the iOS apps. It's release first, debug later. I'd rather pay more money for a quality application without show-stopping bugs.koalaboy wrote:Nintendo have said on several occasions how the iDevices are bad because they convince people games should be much cheaper, and the same can be said of applications.

Very true. They're both also lacking demos, which is very annoying although I can rent Nintendo games to try them.DevonB wrote:That statement is missing one serious point that the public needs to understand; When I buy a Nintendo game, it WORKS day 1, no hassles, no updates, no real 'bugs' (or at least extremely rare.) I think there's many developers (and KVRers) that would disagree considering the amount of plugins and software I have bought.nikolatesla20 wrote:Um, wow. You are truly a cheap ass.
Nice generalisation though

FL Studio Mobile 1.1 will be available soon here's what you can expect:
Major new features:
- User instruments can be created from .instr and .zip files
- Sonoma AudioCopy: mixdowns (wav files) can be sent to other apps via AudioCopy, which is an additional option in the Export window
- Clipboard in the bar editor: tap and hold a selection to see the copy and paste buttons
- Filter track editing in the bar editor
- Record button in the Filter screen
- Piano-roll editor: pitch-bend is visualized with curved lines
- New soundpacks
Smaller changes since v1.0:
- Heavy Mute: tuning improved
- User forum button in the Setup screen
- Loading a beat repeats it for the whole length of the song
- The file name textfield in the Projects tab shows the name of the current project
- Metronome "precount only at the beginning of the song" is now off by default
- Fix: Step lights were hidden at signatures other than 4/4
- Many minor bugfixes
Stay tuned...

Seems interesting. Not that i could use it anyway, i have a 2005 Nokia 5200 lol (and not going to change it! )
Thats just Nintendo worrying that ppl will realize that they could charge less than 50, 60 or 70 bucks for a game and still make a profit. Games should be cheaper, its the truth. And i dont mean 1 dollar app (that wouldnt make sense for a game with massive budget and 3 to 5 yrs of development).koalaboy wrote:Nintendo have said on several occasions how the iDevices are bad because they convince people games should be much cheaper, and the same can be said of applications.

hmm, nothing about making it stable on the iPhone 3G or improving the sounds. So far, I'm preferring the UVI Electrobeats.Image-Line wrote:FL Studio Mobile 1.1 will be available soon here's what you can expect:

doesn't say to you that sounds are not improved (if you are unhappy with the current set, make your own)?
- Many minor bugfixes
There are also many minor bug-fixes, so to your second point yes it will be more stable across all iOS.

Glad to hear it! I didn't understand the first part and soundpacks makes me think of paid add-ons, so those were my mistakes and I apologize.Image-Line wrote:So what part of...

Again, glad to hear it! The issues I'm having are far from minor (the app is hardly even usable on a 3G in its present form) so I didn't get that this update is addressing them. Again, that's my mistake and I apologize.- Many minor bugfixes
