Hi,

Which are the main differences? Which is more powerful? I remember Tom Ellard (From the dead but mighty Severed Heads, always mentions Computer Music Zebra as one of the best synths and amazingly powerful).

U-he I can only say thanks for making it free. I own ACE and it is just amazing. And also Tyrell. You are a genius.

Quoting myself:

"ZebraCM - traditional subtractive synth
Zebralette - additive/wavetable synth with "oscillator effects" instead of filters

In short: In Zebralette you can draw your own waveforms and mangle them in surprisingly flexible ways, which often lets you forget that there is no traditional filter. Yet this is only one single oscillator of Zebra2, so it's also a major show off ;) "

Which one's more powerful...? Depends... CM is more "synth", Zebralette is more "playground"

So Zebra 2 is all of this (subdstractive + playground) plus more. And maybe that's why Zebra 2 is considered by many as the most powerful synth ever ;-).

Just means I want 'em both. :D

Don't forget that Zebra2 can load presets made by both ZebraCM and Zebralette. So when you do upgrade all the sounds you made come along for the ride (and can be expanded upon!)

If I install the new Zebra 2.5.1 will it overwrite my ZebraCM or prevent me from using it in some way? I would like to install the Zebralette but you have to install the full package to get it.

No, they are different plugins, don't worry.

When I try to open some of my presets I made in ZebraCM, I get the error message..."This file is not for this effect"....
Suggestions??

Also in Zebralette , I am getting a hissing sound about every minute or so.
Suggestions??

Love these synths. :D  Planning on getting Zebra2.5 soon.
Thanks again for helping and the great synths.

Hm... my silly question: were you trying to load ZCM sounds into Z'lette?

Did you load it through your host's interface?

Z'lette/ZCM presets can only be imported into Zebra when using Zebra's own preset loader...
