No update yet, but we'll make it more clever shortly.

You can btw. install Zebra.data anywhere and then drag it wherever you want. Win7 is clever enough to still find it through the shortcut.

Thanks.

I listened to some of the new sounds and realized that basically all of them became immediate favourites.

Thank you so much, you've outdone yourself once again!
Have to agree, there are some gorgeous sounds there... made me start playing right away.

I find it amazing that Zebra is awesome to begin with, and then, when you spend a lot of time with it, it gets even better.

Thanks for the new update! Curious: where does one find the new presets?

We made it rather easy: The new presets are in the root level and replace the old "favourites"

Great! The first time my internet connection works since a few days and this is the first thing I see :)
Will download it immediatelly!

Thanks so much for this, didn't have any problems really with zebra and jbridge, but always nicer to have native 64bit :D
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Any idea how to open the new update in Cubase 6 64 bit on a mac?
It didn't show under the vst plugins and going back to 2.5.0 didn't bring it back either.
I don't use any external bit bridges but only the internal one used within Cubase.
Any thoughts?

Hey, we might have a little issue with VST on Mac which seems to be somehow related to Cubase. If you open Console.app, do you get messages about some CarbonUI missing when starting Cubase? - If so, can you mail them to me? It seems like we left an abandoned Entrypoint in the binary, and Cubase uses that instead of the actual one... something like that... I'll investigate it after a good dose of sleep.

I got other errors in regards to a dvcpro audio codec....but nothing like you said.

Let me know if there is anything else I should look for.

With Cubase 5.5 (XP), Zebra 2.5.1 does not load after installation. Well, at first try it loaded successfully, and worked. At the second program start, it popped up in the loading dialogue, but did not load (and no error message). After removing the u-he folder and complete re-installation it did not show up at all in Cubase.
This is obviously specific to Cubase 5.5 because Cubase 6 Elements (Demo), Reaper, and Samplitude do not show this Problem. But it is also somehow u-he-specific, as I had never experienced this with another plugin (and I have way too many).
I was able to solve it simply by re-naming the .dll after installation (e.g. zebra2.dll -> zebra251.dll). You can then install 2.5.0 in parallel (with the originally named .dll), so that older projects which use the old version still open without problems.
I do not have any idea of vst architecture, but to me it looks like Cubase 5.5 still keeps the information of the old version stored somewhere (rescanning plugins after de-installation also does not help). It then becomes "confused" and refuses to load the new version under the same name as the older one. Is there any "version flag" defined in the vst protocol?
Additionally, I had the same problem (IIRC) with Tyrrel, while Zebralette (and previous Zebra versions) is fine. Obviously something had been changed in the programming environment between these versions.

BTW, the simplest way to overcome the "hanging note" problem is to put your forearm on the keyboard. Exceeding maximum voice number will kill the hanging note.
