Same here, with Cubase Studio 4, but the note on and note off symbols seem to work: try to put a little pause between the notes. Anyway, a bit frustrating...!evo2slo wrote:Wanted to share some notes on the speech thing in case anyone else is still struggling with it. In Cubase I wasn't able to type into the fields without triggering actions in the sequencer so I copied and pasted text and that worked well. After copying and pasting using the note on (!) and note off (_) symbols didn't work at all for me so I just pasted the phonetic word spellings directly into the field without the note on and note off symbols. It didn't take at first, when I would close then open the synth the text I pasted was gone from the speech field and I had to do it a bunch of times before it actually stuck. I have no idea if there is a method to this or just blind luck. Then I tweaked the oscillators till I got a voice I liked. Hope that helps someone. Good luck!

Here comes RuediRena's V2 warm up track:
Sommerrausch
We used 3 instances of V2 for percussion, 2 for bass, 2 for e-piano, 2 for the quacky clavinet and one for the slightly flanging lead synth. That makes 10 total.
FX: ReaVerbate, ReaDelay, ReaEQ
Watch out for this month's No. 2 which will include a lot of robot talk!
@ Irion: Someone has to submit 2 tracks ...
Tschüß/Cheers

Well, definitelly i will upload only the Trance track this time.
I know not too many people likes Trance here, but due i'm hearing beatx4 tracks this month i think is a good moment to make something different this time.
I was making an ambient track, in fact is finished, but due i was making it without headphones the mix is a mess and frecuencies are flying crazy over the whole track.
And at this moment i'm a bit tired to mastering it. Maybe in the end of the month i will. But let's see.
I will make some minimal changes and i will upload it.
Have a good day

Mine is coming along, it'll be a robot army death-march called "Kill All Humans" Something about that speech synth makes me think of smart appliances gone mad, frothing at the inputs, hungry for human blood. Maybe I should seek professional help, but I hope you'll enjoy the results...

How many Farbrausch tracks did you use?
What other synths?

We uploaded a new version of Sommerrausch which has a different intro and hopefully a crisper mix. Please listen or download again.
We hope you are enjoying the summer wherever you are. In Germany there is no real summer in the last days despite our track's title meaning 'summer high'.

Maybe i'm wrong but...
Did anyone noticed about there are two 'ninja' tracks in the V2 soundcloud group without reason?
http://soundcloud.com/groups/kvr-one-synth-challenge-1
From SandyScribbles.
And i didn't read any entry about those two tracks here yet.
Which its ok are the three tracks entries already written here; one from RuediRena, another from Evo2slo and the other from Funkfeuer.
Also, there are some vocals in those tracks (and doesn't sounds like V2 synth-speech) so i'm guessing it's pure spam.
Maybe a new kind of ninja-spammer in the soundcloud to promote their tracks, i dunno.
Someone take the chainsaw, let's make some cuts over there.
Ninjas are waiting for us. And it will be a big battle
I already sent a message to V'ger and also to Soundcloud staff to delete those ninja tracks.
That's one of the reasons that participants should write down here their text entries just some minutes later after they upload the tracks to Soundcloud.
Have a good day
EDIT: All in order now. Forget all above.

The samurai has vanquished the ninjas! Well done IrionDaRonin! I guess word is getting out that the KVR OSC group is the place to be for the hottest upcoming acts - we best not let our guard down, there may be more ninjas to come. They may even be there now but we can't see them...

Haha, we are crazy, aren't we dude?evo2slo wrote:The samurai has vanquished the ninjas! Well done IrionDaRonin! V'ger already gave me rights to moderate the group, so no more ninja-spammers from now.
Well, after making some tracks so far; i made one trance (which is in my Soundcloud, but i will delete it in a few days, i need space), one ambient and one electronic, i decided to upload only the electronic one, which at the moment, i think is one of my more complex tracks for KVROSC. More even than 'From Daydreaming to Reality'.
About 80 different patterns.
I will, from now, to make my entry text smallest possible, because it's a pain in the ass really, and a double pain in the ass when you make two tracks haha.
But from now, with an extra flashy pic (Which is sticked in the Soundcloud track too as usually)
I really like to modify those pics.

- Can a cyborg to dream?
To think by itself?
Imagine and create an inner world?
To want to be free?
Or even think it's aware like a human?
Could a cyborg someday to be able to love?
Also i love cyborgs since i was a child.
The song was going to be called 'ElectroBreathe', due you could listen a cyborg breathing or talking in it in almost every sound.
It's the most electronic track i made in my life at the moment.
I didn't have too much problems with V2, due the good perfomance with it was made.
I made the track in 8 Hours guided by a sudden inspiration from nowhere yesterday night.
I liked the experience and everyday i'm learning so much, from myself and from you all.
The best thing is that i'm testing too many Vstis and VSTs and i'm choosing the best for my final equipment.
Nothing more to say, i hope you all enjoy the track and please, set your sub-bass woofer blowing the whole building with my track. (And blow away your neighbors of way)
Any problem, let me know.
Have a good day

Nice one Irion
Now for something completely different...
Gorgorgathgorgorgor - kIHl AOl hyUWmAEnz
8 instances of V2 in Reaper
Stardust multiband compressor (on vocal tracks)
FerricTDS (one on the explosion, one on the master)
This is the Robot Army Official Deathmarch, played from monstrous mobile speaker arrays ahead of the Robot Army as it approaches a human city or outpost. It is meant to be painful to listen to at high volumes, The lowest frequencies making the listener uncomfortable from great distances, and inducing vomiting in close proximity. By the time the Robot Army reaches the human resistance, they should be thoroughly demoralized and physically ill, making the inevitable a little easier to accept. Enjoy.

Indisputable kind of sound from you Gorgorgath, as usually, hehe. Another nice melody sticked to the brain already haha. The name is hilarious but i can understand it, 'Kill all humans'.
And thanks for the nice comment. I can make almost any kind of electronic music, but always with my essence in it.
Only five tracks at the moment and we are already at day 20th.
By the way time to vote for synth, i will talk with V'ger.
Let's animate this a bit!
C'mon guys, we need more tracks!
At least those who gonna participate for sure could say 'hi'.
Let's try to reach at least about 12 tracks for this month.
Have a good day.

As already promised we will create another track. Just didn't find the time yet.
Good, imaginative work, Gorgor and Irion!
