Avid Developer Program - getting the RTAS SDK

What are other people's experiences signing up for the avid RTAS SDK? I applied a couple of months ago and have had no response.
Do you have to know someone inside or something? Do they actually want people to develop for RTAS?

persistance paid off. FYI, I think my life was better before I set eyes on the PT9 sdk
