But this is holiday month so fewer than normal entries expected.

While the "brown note" is an impossibility with human-produced mp3 based sound reproduction technology, I wanted to convey the discomfort one might experience when exposed to sub-sonic frequencies at high volumes. Also if you look at the wave, you can see it is nearly saturated, yet the mix should seem to be rather sparse. I listened to it with headphones and felt a little ill, that's how I knew it was done!

What a wonderfully weird and fantastic synth!! ... Despite not being around to vote/comment in last comp, and looking unlikely I'll be around now for the next voting cycle, I managed to push on with a track today, and nearly finished.

So, V'ger, whilst I see the benefits of having a shorter voting phase, I wish it could be longer ... I do like to play the whole game, as in getting a track in, and offering my views/appreciation of all other participants' entries, but the way things are, lately it has been a case of either one or the other.

However, that's my personal view, based on a unique set of circumstances and not a request to change anything .... you're doing a great job, it's working, so no worries

Back on topic though .. I think I know the brown note ... really feeling the bass and kick, and resisting all solid theory in my attempt to 'play with my ears' and to hell with tidying it up/out

Trouble is, I have a track with a section which is way too massive to be possible

.... Wears me out! ... may take a few days to get a 'sane' mix

I've placed all the the 2 dll and 2 dle files in my plugins folder however only the V2 single version shows up and seems to have only one preset?

Any hints?

Hi there DaveBarry, welcome to KVROSC.

I'm using FL Studio and i had some problems with V2 too.

For example, if i load more than one instance and want to quit the program (or load another project), it gets frozen.

Which host are you using?
Can you load presets at least?
If not, i think V'ger made a FXB banks some previous pages before. (Didn't work for me, but maybe could be useful in your host)

I was just listening to the recent entry by DJ Khaled "I'm on One" and the voice synthesis is amazing - so lifelike. Even the swearing is remarkable. If it wasn't for the inane lyrics one might even think it was a recording.

It's not DJ Khaled is a spammer called Sandy Scribbles who thinks he can do whatever he want in any moment, anywhere, who share his tracks in bazillion groups indiscriminatelly without respecting the group rules. He is not even in KVR forum. Maybe he thinks he is going to be famous in that way.
I can't support spammers.

I already ban him/her for life from our KVROSC group, and also sent a message with an ultimatum about to take seriously measures and talk with SoundCloud staff.
I also sent a message to SoundCloud staff to warn them about this new way of spamming tracks.

If somebody see another shared tracks from him, or from another strange user, let me know again.

I have a problem with browsing V2 parameter in Ableton Live ,so I used VSTForx Beta (cool but bugy).
it's free for download but you need to login.

Ableton -> Forx -> V2?

I didn't use Forx so much, but i have it in my computer.
I don't see any problem in use Forx. Mostly if you are using just for host V2 and change MIDI parameters or make works propertly the automations.

That is what you want to do, right?

This would be alike to use an external sampler to use a sampled wave from V2, always sticked to the rules about to not change or modulate that sample later.

You know the rules, since you are not using Forx to change or modulate drastically the sound or make weird things with it, it's ok.

Is a kind of wrapper, and also it's free.

No problem here really.

Yes there are point for both long and short, but remember when it was longer ppl didnt vote until the last week anyway, and as seen from the Music Cafe monthlies where there's only 1 week, the voting is also good. So I chose 2 weeks just as an in between option. The most important seems to be a consistent date as there was a lot of confusion and missed dates with the variable one.

You mean the automatable paramters? But like Irion says, nothing wrong with using VSTForx.
